Pundit mock drafts 2026 [maybe with FAILs]

Choices were made in this one. In particular, look at the second round.

1.31 CB Colton Hood, Tennessee
TRADE: NE trades 2.63 and 4.131 (and 6.191, which they forgot to mention) to CIN for 2.41(!)
2.41 DT Caleb Banks, Florida
3.95 OT Jude Bowry, Boston College
4.125 QB Taylen Green, Arkansas
5.171 TE Tanner Koziol, Houston
TRADE: NE trades 6.198 to DET for 6.205 and a 2027 7
6.202 WR Kaden Wetjen, Iowa
6.205 DT Aaron Graves, Iowa
6.212 S Isaac Smith, Mississippi State
7.247 WR Zavion Thomas, LSU

Can't imagine any scenario where we exit the 2nd round without an OT or Edge.

2 round mock from Rob Staton:

He has the Pats trading 31 and 212 to Arizona for 34 and 143, taking TJ Parker at 34 and Jalen Kilgore at 63.

I go with Keylan Rutledge (35) at 34 and Dani Dennis-Sutton at 63. Tonesetters in the lines.

Niki Prongos or PJ Williams in 2027 (Jordan Seaton will be out of reach).

I think he needs to retire.
They are not the picks I would make.
That said, for a guy picking for all 32 teams, not an area reporter that really knows one team, he did a decent job for the Pats.
Again, not the picks I would make and he's not a guy a take too seriously, but if our draft went this way it wouldn't be outlandish.

Did it say that in the article? I couldn't find but read it quickly.
I would hate that.
There will be some good players left when those picks are up, not a fan.
It did not. The difference is 160 points; #95 is 120, and late 4ths are around 40.

This would be a huge mistake imo.
Lets say the OTs are gone at 31.
We take BPA or lets say we trade back.
Take Rodriguez/Banks/Rutlegde....etc with our first pick which would be early 2nd rd.
Take DDS with our 2nd.
Take Louis with our 3rd
Burke with our 4th and Roush with our 4th added in our 1st rd trade back.

Or
Iheanachor
DDS
and........nothing with those 3rd and 4ths we traded.

Of course this is hypothetical and you can replace the names with other players, but which scenario makes the team better in 2026 and beyond?

Please don't let this happen!
