I'm on the Mark Dillard bandwagon, BTW.

Amidst the endless pile of crap that was our defense, a receiver got free and I was sure he was going downtown. Dillard was all alone and shoestringed him, flipped him and wrestled him down like a calf at the rodeo. He probably has no chance, but I'd love to see him more in preseason before he fades into the sunset.

I didn't see the 4th qtr unfortunately, but I wasn't too impressed with what I saw from Dillard. I only seem to recall him missing tackles, and being dragged around by Tampa's 3rd string running back. Maybe he didn't get punked as badly as Spann but I'm not sure thats enough to get excited about.

I like Ventrone as a WR/S/Gunner. He showed me that he is not afraid to catch in traffic and he has NFL calibre hands last night.

At this point, I am bumping him over Jones in my unoffical WR depth chart.

I think that is exactly what they are doing to Slater - is trying to stash him away to the PS.

You mean the same Slater who looks exceptional on returns and will probably have some great returns when the season starts, that Slater?
