Pro Bowl - McCourty?

I questioned the pick based on his stats and highlight video (STs ace, but small with mediocre ball skills). After 6 games I was so impressed I started to compare him with Ty Law (rookie year). After a couple more games, I started thinking about Mike Haynes (I'm old). Now, he is among the top CBs in the league and I can say no Patriot DB ever had a better rookie year than McCourty. (BM is a talented but undisciplined safety who is a nice player but is not in McCourty's class or Chung's either, for that matter).

I doubt theres one person on this board who can honestly say they cheered when they heard McCourtys name on draft day... esp with the like of Dez Bryant still on the board

I cheered very loudly not only as someone who is a huge fan of Devin's but because I had good intel that the Jets were going to take him. I would have died. I have enjoyed watching Devin and all of the Pats this year. Best team in the NFL so far this year. Just need to stay strong into the playoffs.

I don't know how much doubt there is that McCourty has been playing at a Pro Bowl level. However, is he going to get the recognition he deserves? Also, what other Patriots might make it?

I think we can all agree that no Patriot will actually PLAY in the Pro Bowl, though :rocker:

Seriously do you care how many Patriots players are nominated to the Pro Bowl. I guess you don't understand the Patriot way? If Robert Edwards is not a reminder of the Pro Bowl injuries, then I don't know what is?
