If I remember right the 2003 and 2004 game day threads was began by pats1. It doesn't mean much just thinking back.

This is along the lines of being at a Sb party with people who ruin the game for you by rooting for the other team or making noise to distract you from the game.

The game day thread is like inviting he worst possible SB crowd to your home to watch the game. I will be nowhere near it (but might check in at halftime for some chuckles.)
