My initial wishlist for the PS is Adrien Martinez, Logan Brown, Jon Jiles and Jeremiah Webb so far.
So weird getting used to our HC give raving praise to a specific depth player. BB would have acted like he didn't know who Webb or Bryant were, but Vrabes lavishes them with adoration. I just hope it doesn't give them hopes that they'll make the team. Bryant, yes. But Webb should stick on the PS - although, he certainly has jumped over Baker and probably Jiles too. Who knows, if the IR-dtr Bourne, maybe Webb sneaks on the 53, wouldn't that be crazy.

For all the trade talk being floated around the Pats have been strangely silent even though there have been a few trades accomplished so far. So much media talk compared to the action.

It seems teams are being patient and forcing teams to cut guys and pick them off for nothing. Given the Pats high waiver status, it probably makes sense to wait than give up draft assets, even low ones

if a backup o lineman is valued more than another one you absolutely cough up a 6th or 7th as Green Bay just did with Philly.

Wait and see approach while teams trade a 6th or 7th to go get there guy.
And we comb thru the leftovers.
Not a fan of this strategy.

I think people are expecting too much in these waiver claims. We got Jacobs last year. Hell, Brown we got off a practice squad mid year. That's about the value I expect we'll get again.

Very interested to see what happens with Bourne. I've always been a supporter because I love what he brings with attitude and locker room presence... but, it seems Hollins may be similar as far as a WR room vet to lead in the important (Slater like) ways.
Diggs has the most cache when it comes to career and stats, but he's not a leader. We need someone like Bourne or Hollins.
And... it may become Boutte by the quiet sounds of how he is being viewed inside the walls.

I never that of Bourne as a leader. More of a "wanna be" running around saying, "look at me".

The media loves to speculate about trades that are never going to materialize.

I think we found a gem here in Web; he can play Inside and out. Don't know who our WR Scouts are: but they're a far cry from those BB misfits. Kyle Williams - Efton Chism now Jeremiah Webb. That's Two UDFA who plays like they belong kudos.

K Bourne should be healthy by now: I am leaning towards keeping him at least for this year. Let's give Maye all the help he can get; we can move on next year.

Not hoping for much even after washing down my cheap hopium pills with even cheaper rum.

Maybe a talented HB, those seem to fall through the cracks more than other positions.

Getting coffee. Doing media. Eventually enough public hints will drop for people to believe me on this lol.
You don't need to convince most of us

We are early in the waiver claim pecking order, so that is a consideration. If the 3 teams ahead of us have little need for IOL as an example, no point in giving up a pick. That said, if those teams have similar needs, that obv changes things

I believe the team sits fourth in the waiver order, I’m interested to see who they pick up and add.
Yup, let's see how many players we claim that are projected to be as good as Thomas and Jacobs. It will also be interested to see who we cut to make way for these future stars.

Tom Pelissaro just reported on the NFL network that the Pats are shopping Kyle Dugger and are offering to assume some of his salary to facilitate a trade.

They’ve found good player on the waiver in a he past… it happens. Look to teams that are really strong at positions of need for the Pats.

??

I mean, Pop Douglas and Kayshon Boutte were chosen by those misfits, and Jakobi Meyers came in as a UDFA. Whereas the current guys are responsible for taking Polk over Ladd McConkey, and also responsible for Javon Baker. We don't know what we have in Kyle Williams. And I'm not sure Jeremiah Webb is an example of anything. The people responsible for Douglas, Boutte, and Meyers were also responsible for Harry and Thornton. We can only hope that Kyle Williams turns into a player because so far the post-Belichick scouts have Polk and Baker on their ledger, and the Polk over McConkey thing is only going to get worse as time goes by.
