The reason the Pats are rated so low is their roster contains no acceptable offensive left tackles
Moreover, management seems willing to start the season without trying to correct the situation.

Well we know someone has to play LT, so at this point the roster is what it is.. training camp what we define who plays where on the line.. we have rookies and young unproven guys on the roster. If guys take advantage of thier opp and play well then this time next year the roster would be much more of a known than unknown.

Clearly the front office is willing for this to be a "play the young guys" year and set themselves up for a top 5 pick next year.
The lack of free agency and trade activity tells you what the general manager thinks about this year.
Its a chance for Mayo and Maye to get their toes wet.
Combine all of that with a very tough schedule and we are talking about 4-6 wins.

There is just too much inexperience and lack of proven talent at key positions.

Absolutely agree. I believe it's best if the team wins all while mayo, maye and all the young guys getting acclimated. I'm hopeful. I want to see Drake win.
