NEM asked me to post this:
Dear Lord:
Here we are Lord, It is week five, and through the first four weeks, we can’t even ask for more than what has been bestowed upon us, as fans of the Patriots, and of the Patriots themselves.
The past four weeks have been like a dream. The team has been victorious and the injury bug has been at it’s minimal. We know that you are watching over them and are protecting them from serious injury, and for that we can say, “thank you.”
And we have seen how our players have taken those abilities, those wonderful abilities that you have given them, and how they have used them to the maximum of their ability…. And with that, they have become the victors.
Once again, as they are about to enter into battle, with the visitors from Cleveland, we ask that you look over them, as well as their opponents, and protect them from injury of a serious nature.
And, as we usually do, we ask that you watch over all of those that are part of the fray to be held on the Gridiron at Foxboro, from those that are there as spectators, to all the others that are participating in the big event, from the smallest capacity to the largest.
And when the day’s events are concluded, we ask that you guide them all to their homes, in a safe manner.
We thank you, once again, for what you have provided, and it is in your name, that we all shal say……………..Amen.
