I guess the question is whether this is a regular season or postseason power ranking. I dislike these rankings never taking into account that lots of teams can beat average clubs with consistency but freeze against the elite competition.Lol at the Chargers at #2. The media still doesn’t get that they will never win as long as Rivers is their QB.
What do you think the issue is with not re-signing Ghost? Is the team not offering enough? Maybe they're not offering anything? Is Ghost trying to break the bank? It's a head scratcher to me. It seems like another team should have signed him already if the Pats are low-balling him.Of course the Patriots are #1. They are innovating the all-touchdown, no field goal offense since they have no kicker.

Of all the issues we faced this off-season with resigning players, not having a kicker at this point was not on my radar.
It's nice that they keep putting the Pats at #1. It's also a great credit to what they have accomplished that it is simply ASSUMED that regardless of the losses at TE, WR, OL, and DL, plus all the coaching losses, the team will SOMEHOW carry on.
Well that MAY be true, and we certainly have historical evidence to back that up. BUT... to have the Pats at #1 at this particular point of the season is kind of ridiculous.
That being said ANY power rating that occurs prior to the final game of the season is by definition ridiculous, since it is simply a meaningless mental exercise.
