As could be expected: game on Pats terms (esp. until TB uncharacteristic fumble)
Balanced long drives O . solid RZ D

After - despite some self inflicted wounds and big plays allowed -
it was BBs typical not lose before you win game.

All in all well deserved.

Gutty win.

Really bad decisions on the short punts.
Really weird decision not to shuffle the secondary and double team Hill a bit. Gotta get JCJ injected into the scheme. Really good defensive coaching early and on that Cover 0 call, but those errors made it for not for the most part.

Lots of egregious holding by KC being the equalizer as well.

Glad Hoags and Gronk and Gordon all made plays, I feel like Tom is locking in a bit so that should pay dividends down the road.

I’m really over the bashing of McDaniels. Stop over analyzing every call. Who would you rather have who isn’t a HBC? Tom needs to be more consistent on the first down throws. Can’t run it every play when the defense begins to adjust.

Given who we were playing against and how "slow and untalented" our defense allegedly is they played pretty well. The two absolute idiotic fast TDs they gave up put them despite consistently stopping KC in the redzone and forcing two turnovers into "meh" category.

The offense almost **** the bed with turnovers and continuing issues in the redzone. They were playing a defense that was missing 4 safeties. The FG drive at the end lifts them up into the "meh" category.

On top of that ST created two extremely short fields for the Chiefs. That puts them below "meh".

This team is just so damn inconsistent. Whatever, the only thing that counts is the win.
"Pretty well"? Did you not watch them absolutely **** the bed in crunch time?

And which unit came through in crunch time?

Bipolar defense makes me unhappy. But I'm seeing a potential here for our defense, you guys. If they fix the communication/read issues that lead to the big plays I think they could gel into a top 15 defense. That might read a little snarky but I'd take it.

Exciting game. Thought the offense was solid. Luckily for the Patriots the clock ran out.

Neither of these two teams are winning a Superbowl with their pathetic defense. Although Kansas City is getting guys back so they will be better. Unfortunately you can't really say that for the Patriots defense.

Malcolm Brown was sorely missed. Forced the Pats to play a lot of Nickel defense.

I think that Jonathan Jones is still getting his legs back under him from his torn ACL.

Not sure what happened to Rowe, but he was out there for like 3 snaps and looked lost each time.

Good enough is not 40 points allowed, my friend. Just take a mulligan.

Again. Two short fields. Two turnovers by the offense. Two turnovers generated. Stopped the "unstoppable KC" offense despite being slow and not talented more often than not in the redzone.

They screwed up two big plays which puts them pretty much exactly to where the offense is.

The defense struggled but keep in mind KC has an elite offense.

And oh remember the result the last time we played KC???

That last Hill TD is why I thought McCourty should have been the deep safety in Cover-1. Harmon took a horrific angle and then didn’t have the make-up speed to push him out of bounds.

A great win, and with the real benefit of being a true gut check to get there. Games like this bring a team together which pays dividends the rest of the season. Oooooohhhhhh yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!!!

Mahomes is awesomely fun to watch, he and the Chiefs will be a force to be reckoned with all year. Thankfully they do have Reid who can be counted on when the playoffs come around ha ha

The slot fade was what killed KC in the end. The big completions to Hogan and Gronk were both slot fades.

And they were trying to hit that all night long.

I wish we were in KC so we could leave the defense there

Thank goodness for the GOAT and Gost
There might be something to this idea... What if we jettison all the expensive defenders and load up on offensive talent. We could make some of them play defense too. They couldn’t be much worse on defense but our offense would be unstoppable.

Can anything happen to those fans who dosed Hill with beer after that last td? Like losing season tix because that was some serious BS.

Yeah unfortunately that clip is getting shared a ton on Twitter right now.

The offense needed 43 points and a last minute field goal to win. The defense did not do its job. Sorry to tell you, but your take in the game thread was brain dead. Just take the mulligan.

Game wouldn’t have even been this close if coach let ghost just kick the ball out of the end zone. Gave them 3 short fields, with one being inside the 5. Great game though.
4 short fields with the fumble.
The 2 long TDs were bad but other than that, given field position the d was not bad.

Breaking news Dorsett isn't as good as a 6'3 WR with a 4.3 40 time, who has a 1600 yard season.

If it was still good he would be getting some playing time. Six games into the season and he completely underwhelming.

Pats answered on offense everytime. Chiefs threw the kitchen sink and couldnt get it done. Impressed by both teams tonight in this classic game.

What ? The defense played good enough. The offense needed to be more efficient. Without the deep TD at the end that Harmon gave up it would have been clearly a great job by the defense. The way it all went down both end up in the meh category.
The offense scored 43 points dude. Do they need to be perfect to satisfy you?
