The Andy 'n Bill Show took 5 years off my life. But it might have been worth it ...

Ok, so due to some social commitments I could not focus on the game as much as I would normally like. Big positive for me was that they proved they are capable of beating any team in this league. Offense was great, though I am greedy and would like more touchdowns out of red zone trips. Defense... caused turnovers and that was really the difference. However, I still don’t know what this defence is supposed to be good at. When the other team is converting third down after third down we get told they are preventing the big play. But it looks like they aren’t preventing the big play either. They need to improve big time.

The slot fade was what killed KC in the end. The big completions to Hogan and Gronk were both slot fades.

Don’t know how to feel : on one hand, the D looked very overmatched (Chiefs have made several D look silly already), but on the other hand : NE just beat the #1 team...

Yeah they kept saying Hill had an average TD yardage of 50 yards. He is probably the best deep threat in the game right now. Chiefs have decimated a lot of defenses. So they did enough to win

Exciting game. Thought the offense was solid. Luckily for the Patriots the clock ran out.

Neither of these two teams are winning a Superbowl with their pathetic defense. Although Kansas City is getting guys back so they will be better. Unfortunately you can't really say that for the Patriots defense.

Its a different game these days. Even the best defenses are pretty average anymore. The way the game is called promotes these crazy high point games.

@luuked

What ? The defense played good enough. The offense needed to be more efficient. Without the deep TD at the end that Harmon gave up it would have been clearly a great job by the defense. The way it all went down both end up in the meh category.

Now how am I supposed to go to sleep after that? sure looked like Gronk took out some frustration on whoever it was who tried to tackle him on that first long catch.

I was so happy at the half with them holding the Chiefs to just 9. And then the wheels fell off

KC adjusted at the half and our D didn't manage in game adjustments in the second half

Amazing game. Frustrating at times especially when our defense went from stopping him to giving up a lot of big plays. The chiefs locked down on defense in the second half. My heart was beating at 30000 mph on that kick in the end.

I'm happy we actually won, but defense is still trash.

Glad we won, but god, our D let 40 burgers on us!

Lots of stuff to fix.
Brady has been solid all night, Gordon is improving week by week and Sony has had a very good game.

Our secondary needs to get fixed.

Any ideas on fixing the safety play? Can Dawson possibly be an answer once he comes off IR?

Good enough is not 40 points allowed, my friend. Just take a mulligan.

It'll get lost in the shuffle, but Gostkowski did a hell of a job today going 5 for 5 in FGs and 4 for 4 in XPs, every one of them key, and a 50 yarder and 48 yarder among them. A good day for him to be rock solid.

Few things to clean up in the secondary on defense but other than that it was good. As the season goes on, offenses get worse and defenses get better. I like our chances in a rematch.
