They've never stopped trying to do this in 20 years. They've also never hit.

Michael Bishop, Rohan Davey, Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Cassel, Kevin O'Connell, Zac Robinson, Ryan Mallet, Jacoby Brisset, Danny Etling, Jarrett Stidham, Bailey Zappe

It's something the Patriots can do and maybe should do regularly just to have a cheap backup.
Again, all of those are a part of their ideal prototype, not necessarily where the league is moving...Also because theyve failed, doesnt mean they should stop trying...You need to hit the lottery, thats why its hard to find great qbs

I’m going with QB, ideally a big guy with a strong arm.

I think the priorities are quite simple. OT is tops on my list and should make this line very good on paper. Wr next. Then mlb. Then fs to replace dmc. Plenty of cap space and picks to get these done.

Id also try to extend dugger and onwenu. Resign Jonathan jones

I'd argue that Brissett and Cassell were hits because they received equal or greater draft compensation than it took to draft them.

It seems like OT is the unanimous biggest need. Any draft people have specific tackles they like? Lately anytime I've become frustrated with the Patriots play I've done a mock draft simulator on PFF or PFN and I usually pick Broderick Jones from Georgia. Any other names I should pay attention to?

offensive line not an option? Lol. It’s number 1 priority

Why isn't OL a choice?

(I do appreciate the RLKAG option, though)
It should be, it's by far our weakest position and we'll need to address the tackle position early in the draft if not in free agency

Sign Tom Brady
Trade a 2023 2nd round pick and a 2024 first round pick for DeAndre Hopkins
Draft left tackle with 2023 1st round pick
Move Trent Brown to RT
Resign Jon Jones
Resign DMac
Hire BOB for OC
Coax Dante out of retirement for one more year with a protege

Problem solved. Super Bowl 58 victory. Brady and BB ride off into the sunset together.

OL is top priority. T's in particular.
Although the FA class is horrible, you have to tear down this group aside from Thornton. Take more swings in rounds 1-3 to land some talent.
MLB.
Ideally, I'd go with QB as well, but that may be unrealistic right now. As much as I don't like Mac, I'm willing to give him a shot with a real OC, better OL and better skill players before telling him to take a hike.

Sorry I forgot OL I had to fix it because I ran out of choices and thought I put it back

So I messed up the first poll here is the one with OL

WE all know we need new offensive coaches so let's accept that.

I think we need OL a deep threat and coverage lb

Just a reminder: there were 6 tackles taken before we picked in the 1st round last year. Half of them are considered bad picks already. They are young, they may improve, but so far, not looking good.

On the other hand, there were guys taken in the 3rd and 4th round who have played pretty well for their teams. Ex. Jamaree Salyer.

If it were me, I'd go BPA at 15-20 or wherever we're picking, and then spend 2 or even 3 picks on tackle in the 3rd through 5th rounds. I'd spend one more in the 7th for depth.

Based on this list you'd think the patriots are a zero win team.

This happens all the time with OT, even with OT who turn out to be great because lot of them only have little experience and get picked Due to position value and projection
The teams already kniw they need to teach them stuff but fundamentals and athletic are there
That‘s why they struggle early

I still say a legit #1 WR.
Look at the top teams in the AFC
Buffalo has Diggs
KC has Kelce(whose a glorified WR anyways)
Cincy has Chase

And before someone says "we won without a #1 WR before!!!" we had TB12 back then who covered a lot of warts and he did have the GOAT TE in the 2nd dynasty run. Get Mac some help Meyers as your #1 isn't going to cut it.
Look at their QBs

The ot free agents in theory are fine imo
Usually they are only few OT who are good hitting FA and this earn you have conklin orlando brown, Trent brown, kaleb mcgary , mcglinchey, who could all hit FA. Those are good options for the FA but expensive
