I finally have a binky and his name is Eric Rowe. He's only behind Marcus Peters for me but without the character concerns. We spend so much time on film, measurables, etc but we know the Patriots put so much time into how do they fit, do they love football, are they smart, etc. The interview was short and simple with all softball questions but I still came away liking him even more. I love his length and physicality not only in the passing game but against the run. He has good technique both tackling and taking on blockers, Can play man, off-man and zone.

Speaking of Peters I think he acquitted himself well in this one at the combine. BTW both Peters and Rowe are excellent special teams players as well which we all know will help them in Bill's eyes. If Peters did as well in the team interviews I think he's off the board at 32.

I'm getting close to that point, too. In terms of press-man CB prospects, Rowe is probably my #2 behind Peters. I'm still intrigued by Byron Jones' athleticism and schematic versatility, but my heart is with physical press-man CB prospects.

I definitely see why Manx likes Jones but I just love the physicality of Rowe and Peters. Jones actually plays off-man more instinctively than either but doesn't have their physicality in man.

I completely agree. I want extremely physical CBs who excel in press-man coverage but have some versatility, and Peters and Rowe are the two who stand out. I have a higher grade on Jones than on Rowe, but Rowe is a better fit for what I would do.
