Maverick4 wants compliance with his personal definition of fandom. Unfortunately, for him, this is not the Maverick4.com website. He needs to absorb TB's comments noted in this thread and Ben Watsons' from today in the Globe. Many players believe they need to perform well and THEN the fans will respond with cheers and applause. Makes sense.
I will agree that there are some hysterical sounding threads of late, most, I bet, by trolls or teenagers snickering with glee at how pissed the responses are.
The Pats stunk on Sunday, plain and simple. Cassel doesn't have "it" as far as I can see. Like I said elsewhere, I hope I'm wrong about Matt, but there has been very little to change my mind except the long completion out of the endzone to Moss in game 1.
Nasty losses like Sunday hurt and make me mad. I guess that means I live and breathe Patriots football, much to Maverick4's apparent disappointment. I literally couldn't watch when Vinatieri kicked the winning field goal in our first SB, my brain and body were on fire. I felt like fool but it mattered that much to me. Maybe it is different now, but only because I know how high we can fly and not much (sportswise) feels better than beatin' down the Colts or Chargers when everyone seems to be rooting that you can't. This team is way better than it played on Sunday, yes. But I just don't think it will be Cassel that gets the most out the offense, sorry.
You all be any kind of fan you want. I, for one, can handle it.
