This is the way Spygate ends, not with a bang but a whining.
The people who invested their reputations in a "big bang" ending when Walsh produced a tape of the SB walkthrough will never let go. They'll loosen their grip, but they'll do whatever they can to keep the story alive. This will keep up until readers stop posting dozens of comments to every inane theory or idea that gets printed (in this case inane = "how dumb would the Rams have to have been to use the same signals in the Playoffs against a team they had played earlier that year?".
The sad thing is that many readers who saw Florio's drivel will now actually believe it as fact that the Patriots taped the Rams game and used it to win the SB.
Oh well...
