Not such a lost art (chop blocking). Like a virulent plague - it has now spread to other teams. Atlanta (from former DEN coach Alex Gibbs) uses it and now has one of the top rushing teams in the league. Also Kubiak (HOU) has brough it there this season. And also Green Bay has also started it.

It is so dangerous to chop block - that the Bronchs O line will not even practive it on their own defensive players! They have to practice it on dummies. Trevor Pryce talked about how dangerous it is after he switched teams (Ravens) - there was a recent article about it on one of the major NFL websites but I can't find it.
Keep trying on that article Sunny, I'd love to read what Pryce has to say. I'm still furious with Atlanta and the officials for that disgraceful game in pre-season.

HI Guys,

First time poster here (been lurking), thought I'd weigh in on this one (peacefully)-sorry to see that one of our Fans is on here talking trash, but every Team has 'em .

You guys might not like us, but as for myself I have never hated the Patriots (I generally save that for the Chiefs, Raiders and Chargers). We have gotten to best of Terrific Tom in the past, but it comes back around-we'll see. Seems like both of our Teams are in a Funk, so whoever doesn't have PMS will win.

It is curious to me why the Patriots Organization has let so many good Players go, and it appears that Tom is in a tough position-he is definitely competitive, and if it were me, I'd be a little unhappy about it. We, on the other hand, have Jake-what else need to be said? We will have to endure this Year and maybe next, and, iof we can keep the Players we have, will be a contender in a Year or two-we'll see !

Good luck! The pressure's on both QB's (in different ways), so I think it will come down to the Game Plan by BB and Shanahan as to who will win-by the way, Pryce took some pot-shots (not unusual for a cut Player)-

Good players leave for many reasons, in most cases though, their services are worth more to other teams. For example: Givens was paid very good money by Tennessee, a club that badly needs to plant some competitive seeds in the locker room. McGinest going to Cleveland was similar, though it also applies to his age and productivity, Belichick tries to release players before they hit the down slope, it gives them a chance for one final big payday, and keeps bringing in fresh, championship hungry players and allows the back-ups to step up - which Banta-Cain has done as McGinest's replacement in the OLB rotation.

You know how close the playoff game was last year, even with the injuries and turnover the Pats were dealing with. Jake and his boys had a very hard time moving the ball until Patriot errors gave them a short field. Your defense was darned good, this time around they will need to be even tougher with Jake's struggles to date and the health of New England's running game.

No injuries! Go Pats!!
