He's extremely doubtful to make the roster, but is an interesting possible long-term project at WR.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Landers has an intriguing blend of size and speed, having run the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds at the 2023 NFL scouting combine. He’s considered a tremendous athlete who remains raw as a receiver.

Meanwhile, JaQuae's Jackson's rookie season is over.

Practice squad cannon fodder.

why not... can't hurt to add another body to the competition.

Sub 4.4 speed means little to nothing anymore ... CB's just as fast.

People get too hung up on speed. Most #1 receivers run average 40 times (around 4.5). It’s far down on the list of qualities that make a good WR.

Yeah, it's one of those things that if you have all the other traits, the 4.3 speed can set you apart (like Tyreek Hill). But without those other traits, you're just getting to the wrong place really fast.

He'll have plenty of time on our PS to learn our Playbook he's a little late to the dance.

Landers ran a 4.37. Tyquan was 4.28. Splitting hairs. He’s fast.

Jonathan Jones 4.33
Christian Gonzalez 4.38

Oh man I remember this guy and would've loved to have him on the PS for development. Absolutely killed his Combine/Pro Day. Tons of physical talent with fantastic measurables all around. Guessing with his college history (starting at Georgia), and the fact that he hasn't been able to stick to 3 NFL teams and 2 UFL teams since he started last year, the stuff upstairs is severely holding him back.

I'm here for the Milton to Landers for 65 air yards attempt in the 4th quarter of the last preseason game, though.

Yeah…and has a problem understanding routes or is lazy with them. 6’4” 200 lb 4.37 / 40 speed are excellent attributes. He needs to get right between the ears.

If they are serious about having a "speed guy" on the field a lot of the time then it makes sense to have some depth since Tyquan's health is unreliable. He's your top guy, perhaps Reagor is also on the 53 as the KR and Tyquan's backup/rotational guy when Tyquan needs a break, and then Landers on the PS as a 3rd layer of speed depth. Needs development but hopefully doesn't actually need to see the field for a while. Tyquan also needed work and he's finally seeming to put it together after 3 years.

Worth mentioning David Wallis also reportedly ran a 4.40 which is in the same neighborhood. He looks plenty fast on his returns during the preseason games.
