Alright, since this whole thread being about Buddy has pretty much gone on the wayside, let me offer my two cents on Brady's yelling at Galloway:
Looking at the issue from both perspectives, it's clear to see how Kontra feels it was classless in a way for Brady to rip Galloway a new one during that Falcons game. The guy's 38 years old, it was week 3 in a new offense, and he isn't necessarily known for his route running abilities.
I also see, from a fan's perspective, how Brady's outburst was justifiable. Up until that point in the season, scoring points in the redzone had been a hair-pulling issue that many Pats fans (including myself) were becoming very impatient with. As a result, who becomes the scapegoat on the possible scoring play? The man who dropped the ball/gave up on the play: Galloway.
Having said that, I agree with Kontra's point to a degree. I didn't view Brady's ranting so much classless as it was unnecessary because as most of us can attest to, yelling gets everyone nowhere, especially in a team sport. Also, if we are to in fact call out Manning for his shenanigans regarding his offensive line, then if anything we should at the very least be disappointed with Brady for acting like our arch-rival. In hindsite, I would have rather Brady just pulled Galloway to the side and maybe talk to him (Not coddle him, for those of you who want to downplay my stance, just talk to him). I wouldn't have cared if he had bashed him verbally with a smile on his face or just said, "We'll get 'em next time." Just due it subtly.
All in all, I think we can simply agree that for the better part of 2009, our season sucked. But that's all in the past. Galloway's gone; we have fresh new receivers in Hernandez, Gronk, Price, & Farnham(?); Edelman and Tate have a year under their belts (Tate more so through film study), and Brady is another year removed his surgery. Let's look towards 2010 people!
