A couple of thoughts from the stat rankings on that link:
- Pats still consider the 3-cone drill as a highly valuable metric for WRs
- Pats seemed to place more emphasis this year on strength of WRs, based on the bench press rankings. That would align with the theory that the Pats offense is shifting its emphasis away from small, quick shifty receivers, to bigger, stronger WRs who can counter strong, physical defenses, and improve the team's productivity against those better defenses, especially in the red zone.
How much of a change in offensive philosophy remains to be seen, but I'm of the opinion that Belichick has made a decision to change his strategy and counteract the better defenses that the Pats have come up short against the last couple of seasons.
