I really liken This game to the game at Pittsburgh in 2018. Pats coming off a bad loss and a blown lead to Miami. Pats went into a hostile environment in Pittsburgh against a team that had to win to stay alive in the playoffs/division race. Actually same exact spot in the season, third to last game. Pats only scored 10 and lost 17-10. Lots of folks wrote them off for dead after losing two games in a row so late in the season and looking bad in doing so. We know they went on to win the whole thing.
Baltimore HAS to win. The Patriots have to play a near perfect game to win. The desperate team with everything on the line usually wins these games.

I think Stretch and Vrabel are much more into analytics than BB and Ernie Adams. Much more.

How do you lose the largest lead ever at Gillette stadium? By going soft on offense and blaming JMD? No, by going soft on offense and defense. It is on Vrabel. The head coach lost that game.

Very true. He is the head coach and I'll be consistent because I have criticized the defense.. let me say I did in previous post blame the defense as well. How do you allow Josh Allen to score TDs on 5 consecutive drives.. ? Earnie adams as I mentioned was the whisperer and trusted eye for BB and was an analytical guy way before the NFL or any organization every thought to do so.. we don't win alot of games and superbowls without the aid of earnie Adams. It just was never advertised i remember fauria saying on the radio he never even knew exactly what Earnie did. Check out Earnie Adams on his show with Steve Burton. It will tell you alot about his knowledge of the game and how he aided BB.

The whole balance is not going 3 and out and burning out the defense.

Agreed. We scored enough points in the first half realistically to win in the NFL. We make a few stops maybe we win.

Agreed. We don't have alot of in-game adjustments and detailed knowledge of things without the aid of earnie.. of course BBs greatness as well. The combination of the two men brought us alot of advantages.

After having a whole week to digest everything. The fact is this team is 11-3.. KC would love to be in our position and many other teams. This team was 4-13 last 2 consecutive seasons. The same guys Diggs, ect have played a high levels for the majority of this season. It's a credit to Vrabel and Josh that the teams not often in come back situations in the 4th quarter. I think this is being lost in the sauce.

They rode a 10 game win streak this season with a second year QB and a new coach and staff. Regardless win or lose the team's trajectory is heading upwards.

I have no faith we can stop the run..with injuries and guys like Williams and Spillane missing it's going to be mac truck Henry.. all day.. it's going to be on the offense.

If anyone knows how to stop Henry it's Vrabel. The way you cause problems for Henry is to force him to bounce it outside. Don't let him get a head of steam, make him go horizontal. They can do that.

I think we should redo his contract now he's outdone himself... I'm sure they are going to have to probably put all 5 OL on him.. he can't be stopped...

Agreed. They are still an Ascending team and I said all season they have been playing with house money while positioning themselves in a great spot enough to endure a few Ls.. I picked them to win tonight but I'm not confident becuase they can't suddenly stop the run. No Spillane makes this even more daunting. Gonna be on drake and the offense IMO.

Passing was the difference.

Allen threw for 3 TDs and Maye threw for 0 TDs.

Maye still has 0 - 4th quarter comebacks to his name. He got the ball down 35 - 31 with 6:48 in the 4th and went 3 and out. Again, Maye got the ball with 2:43 and 3 timeouts still down 35 - 31 and went 4 and out. Maye completed 1 pass in both series for 5 yards.

Allens QBR was 123 and Mayes was 63.

The good news is that Jackson isn't the passer that Allen is.

You could tell the game plan offensively was to run the ball they did that masterfully in the first half.. it seemed as if it was a shock to them that Buffalo was able to come back.. defense had no answers..

Patiots went away from what was working offensively.. they have been beating man coverage all season.. McDermotts defense has been meh all season.. he didn't suddenly come up with a brilliant plan defensively the second half.. Josh Allen was the difference. If The defense holds Allen to at least two FGs we win.
