Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

Oh Geez, I'm sorry I can't keep up with you. Is that how you got over 7,000 posts with inciteful ones like that?

Lighten up. I was just joking.

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

Read the article provided, it says it was confirmed by Rosenhouse's office. That's pretty reliable confirmation, if it's true.

To everyone naysaying, who exactly do you guys want? Marvin Harrison?
Oh yeah, agents never lie.

Its possible Rosenhaus is just trying to get other teams excited in Stallworth.

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

Yay. woo. hoo. I'm so happy I could just puke.
First really bad signing of the off-season.

SL, I would rather sign a bad FA, then trade a valuable 1st round pick for Randy Moss. The Moss deal would be doubly-bad if it didn't work out.

Agents bend the truth to benefit themselves and their clients. This would be flat out telling a lie, if Rosenhouse did this on a regular basis no one would believe anything he said, and he knows it. If it came from his office it's true.

I agree 100%

Moss would be absolutely an AWFUL move. The guy has quit on every team he has ever played on in the NFL...tigers don't lose stripes.

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

From Breer:

– Donte’ Stallworth’s trip to Foxboro is now complete and a deal is not expected tonight. League sources confirmed tonight that he’s heading to Tennessee and Miami over the next couple days, and the plan is to see the process through.

Stallworth reportedly would like to return to the Eagles, but is considering all options. He would bring a deep threat the team lacked last year — his 19.1-yard average rates more than 6 yards better than the best number posted by a Patriots receiver in ‘06 (Jabar Gaffney, 12.9).

Another attractive feature Stallworth brings is his ability to pick up a complex offense quickly, something he did under Andy Reid last fall.

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

There is no way that an agent who wants to keep doing business with NFL teams would ever intentionally lie about whether a deal was done. Just no way. Even Rosenhaus.

Now, is it possible that Rosenhaus confirmed that an offer was made and this comcast thing misunderstood and reported it as a deal being done? Sure. Maybe even likely.

But if someone trustworthy gets Rosenhaus on the phone and he confirms a deal, that's good enough to take to the bank.

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

See Lampshade's post.

Looks like the Philly site has its info wrong.

well....it was fun while it lasted...

That would REALLY end Rosenhaus' career.

If you tell the teams who are interested in your client that he has already SIGNED WITH ANOTHER TEAM, then they are going to try and sign their second choices, and stop trying to sign your client.

IF it came from his office. But comcast seems like a serious company, so there's a decent chance it did...

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

WEEI is just reporting that Stallworth signed according to Comcast sports. 6 years 32 million.

Lol so who's right, Tomase or WEEI?

Edit: wait, never mind, according to Comcast. Tricky writing...

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth

Total Access says Stallworth has received an offer. Nothing about a deal.

Yes, it's the Comcast sports link that we've been discussing the past 15 minutes.

(I'm getting slightly more serious...)

Re: Patsf sign Stallworth
