Pats-Jaguars in London next year a possibility ?

I've written a follow up blog piece for patsfans.com on this from Ian Rapoport's initial blog post which triggered the discussion. Once Ian has looked through it it should be up!

I see the Patriots returning within a couple of years, although fans over in Boston can rest assured the Krafts would never give up a home game. Imagine the lost revenue, especially on parking/tailgating...it would be unreal.

Ultimately teams which struggle to sell out on a consistent basis are the targets to give up the home game, and Shahid Khan was very quick to express an interest in playing overseas. Taking that into consideration, and the Krafts heavy involvement in future development of the game combined with their overall experience in 2009, I would see this as a huge possibility.

There is a lot of hype about two games next season, and it wouldn't amaze me top see Tampa come back again, effectively making London their second home, and then having Jax have the other. This would have happened this season had it not been for the lockout so I think it's a cert to happen next season.

As for mention of why the Bears/Buccs game didn't sell out, I felt it had little to do with the appeal of the teams and more to do with the lockout and late sale of tickets than anything.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I already have ten plus ticket request. Jax is a great town to visit, if it is early enough their is some prime golf to be had.

Spanish Patriots would support the idea ! . I would say that the New England Patriots are the most popular team in Spain, no doubt.

Count me in with the crowd that would love to see the Pats overseas as long as they are the "away" team.

I think a game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (which seats 80,000+ and home to Real Madrid) would be FANTASTIC. All for it.

The real question is could the Jacksonville Jaguars become the London Jaguars?

I know they have a pricey lease, but its not a complete deal breaker, is it?
