Take a good look at Washington. That's a team that wants to win now and they were worse than us last year. What did they do that we did not and we did we do that they did not?
A lot of people want to talk about what they did on personnel and they deserve credit for that. But I'm more impressed with what they did in hiring coaches and GM. It was a mixture of a scout ready to move up and a coach with Super Bowl experience.

There will be another excuse why we suck next year even if we improve our roster. Let's say there's a major roster overhaul. The excuse will probably be something like 'this is the first year Mayo has with this new roster, players are learning the scheme'. Or 'these guys still need to develop chemistry' or 'the new players haven't bought it' etc. If Mayo doesn't get fired after this season we will be stuck with him for a minimum of 3 years imo.
I figure it will take 2-3 offseasons or so before all the talent is drained from this roster and we look like the worst team in the NFL.

The collaboration apologists here will tell us the entire time that all it will take is more time.

This is how it felt back in the day, Tony Eason was the next great Patriot QB... it would just take more time.

There's a real possibility of Wolfe again ****ting the bed and not acquiring or drafting good players and he will be fired while Mayo gets another 'chance' with another GM.
You have a good point. I'll say this.. they have no excuse not to upgrade this team all over. Mayo won't get fired yet. He has time. If anything I can see changes in his staff what's helping Mayo and AVP is Drake. Had Drake looked like crap then I think it's easier for ownership to make a change. So the QB is the most important position on the roster and they developed Drake to get to this point.

Add #1 Higgins and slayton at WR
Trade for Alexander or Sneed at at CB
Upgrade the DL, draft at least 2 impactful LBs
Play Marcus Jones on offense and STs only.

Yes. The GM and coach both had experience and track records.

This is the second time you've forgotten the most important weakness on this team in the last ten minutes or so. Drake got sacked 4 times yesterday and was running for his life.

Great teams in this league have powerful offensive and defensive lines... it starts there.

For 92 million dollars we could have Calvin Ridley's 27 catches for 399 yards and one TD over half a season.

Boy, we're really missing out...
You have to pay for talent.. your right all of our WRs are #1s..

I've stated that wozzy if you look at my prior post I said we need to revamped both lines. They suck. Then add at the skill positions, and in the secondary.

Brady had a #1 once in his entire Patriot career, Randy Moss has no rings.

Edelman, Troy, Branch... they have rings.

WR's being the most important position in football after QB is the worst fantasy footballesque take ever.

It's attitude, too. Telling players they can win now shows belief in them as a team.
I've never seen players smiling and laughing after losses after loss like this team does. Your right it's attitude. Past patriots players have said they were miserable all week after a loss.

You haven't, you mentioned everything but offensive line twice now.

You're saying the Titanic was a great ship and ignoring the big hole in the side of it.

Our CB's are exceptional... they're not a problem at all.

I'm just saying it would be a great help for Drake to have a game changer.. if you can't agree. Then admit is Jefferson? Hill? Chase? Higgins? Are they game changers at all?

You are really loosing it now wozzy LOL.. gonzo is exceptional.. Marco is a walking pass interference call.. Bolden can't even get on the field.. Jon and Marcus get toasted each game.

^^
This is the worst case scenario.

I've been fairly lucky in that I started following the Pats in 1990. Although we had 2 terrible **** MacPherson years, we've had Tuna, Pete, and Belichick coaching the team, all HOF HCs. Although we wasted the roster talent on those Pete years, we were never this terrible.

I find myself weighing between having all new staff, with the 3rd overall pick and a bottom roster with injuries all over. It's simply amazing we won 2 games this season. We look like an 0-17 team.

He still had 73 yds one terrible drop and opened things up for his Team. Still better than our ****ty WR's. Some of you love to ***** about paying for actual Talent... how does it feel to watch marginal NFL Talent on Sundays?? That's our N.E. Patriots.

Hill isn’t doing anything with one of the worst lines in the NFL and no QB. Higgins is a taller healthy Kendrick Bourne, we already have a bunch of those guys. Devante Adams is no longer in the conversation now that he’s gone to two bad teams in a row… funny.

Football starts at the line of scrimmage, Detroit, KC, all the best teams in the league win in the trenches.

Our line play sucks and our coaching is subpar relative to our opponents. If we’re not improving or even mentioning in your case the biggest weaknesses on the team what the hell are we doing?

Marginal is being nice. Drake knows his WRs not named pop all suck that's why he rather run for 95 yards.

IF Wolf sits on his hands and not Get a Starting Caliber Player in a Trade... this Team is going to be bad for a very long time.

So none of them are Game changers of field flippers? So by your logic WRs shouldn't be put in the hall of fame they should not even be given all pro nods.. becuase it's all about the offensive line.
