You know I used to go into each and every game strongly believing that the Pats coaching staff has a leg up on their fellow coaches opposite them and would come up with gameplans, schemes and formations that would offset for personnel deficiencies and bring us a win no matter what.

Unfortunately I no longer feel this way.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I don't feel that way. But against Denver I do, Shanahan is Belichick's equal.

Only against Denver. Shanahan owns BB. End of story. There is no debate anymore. He's more than "his match".

I have no respect for Shanahan b/c I think he molests little boys in the offseason and there will be an SVU episode about him one day. I mean, who doesn't get that vibe from him?

That said, our coaching staff hasn't been the same since we lost Weis and Crennel obviously.

I feel the same way too. Bill is still Bill. But what they hell is with Josh and our Offensive play calling. There is no real scheme. And who choses our Defensive substitution? The Cheerleading coach? And is it too late to call Gramatica back and admit our special teams coach blew it? What is the record for most FGs blocked in a year?

I think that we did have some bad luck in the last 3 games.
Seymour Out.
Freak Turnovers (Calls)
Chad Jackson Out.

That said the coach is responsible for loosing 6 out of 7.

Wan't too good tonight. Usually they can make some adjustment's that work. I wonder if they go go no huddle from the getgo next time they face them. They'd be throwing up in the 1st quarter on lol. They kicked our @sses tonight.

SP/BF.

I don't know. I just don't feel that confidence in this staff anymore. Wereas before I expected them to outhink and outscheme and outfox their opposition coaches, now I don't think they can offset our personnel weaknesses with excellent gameplanning and whatnot.

yeah ... maybe ..... sure seems like Denver knew exactly what PATs were
going to do and PATs didn't adjust at all ... just kept banging their heads
aganist the wall until it was too late.

If it was just coaching, i'd give it to belichick. but shanahan and others seem to have better personnel to fit their scheme than we do right now , or for the past couple seasons for that matter

Do you think that it may have something to do with being active during the free Agency Period vs the draftee/cost effective approach

I was never impressed with McDaniels. He was supposed to be a 27 year old little genius when he got annointed. His schemes for the most part are pretty vanilla. I still think there were more experienced/qualified options out there.

Josh McDaniels has sucked since day one, but this game he proved to be even worse...The worst game planning, the worst play calling, the most ohorrendous lack of adjustment, and then, over again, the same thing, horrible, horrible play calling.

He proved he is insane because he kept calling the same plays that werent working and expected a different result. That's insanity.

He insists on running into a defense geared to stop it.

His first down play calls were horrendous, his second down calls even worse.

He refuses to utilize play action until it is too late. He wont throw inside routes, namely crossing and slant patterns...he continuously calls for Brady to throw the mid range out patterns, patternbs that Brady totallysucks at yet McDaniels keeps calling them...when it is obvious anyone with eyes that Brady chokes up on them, fearful of td returning interceptions, McDaniels is horrible, he has to go...He is killing this team.

Defensively, not much better, as they continualy playe3d soft in key situations but the one that was the worst was on the td by Denver that broke their back and made it 17-0.

They had done well, they had him pinned and had a third and six...deep in their own territory, when the DC decided to play soft, onoy rushed three, and gave Pl;ummer all the time in the world to complete another one over our 5 foot 8 inch cornerbacks and safeties... for the back breaking TD.This team is far too soft, on both sides of the ball, is getting horrible, horrible coaching from both coordinators...no balls, no guts, and soft soft soft, with no killer approach and not going for the jugular.
McDaniels is our weakest link. Either he changes his offensive philosophy or it will be more of the same.

When somethbing isnt working, as it was obvious today, AS EARLY AS THE FIRST QUARTER...you dont keep doing the same thing......frickin nuts, absoluteyl nuts..... Either McDaniels changes or he must go....He totally sucks.

McDaniels is gone .. the next HC of Buffalo Bills.

.

I actually agree with NEM somewhat.

But since I think we miss Charlie Weiss, I'd have to disagree with NEM approximately 4,000 times more than I agree with him.

Actually, counting other boards it's closer to 10,000 times I disagree with him to the paltry couple hundred times I agree with him.

Suffice it to say, I think this offense really misses Charlie Weiss at times like this.
