Pats claim Garrett Mills

That's absolutely right: Belichick told Childress in no uncertain terms to NOT grab his tight end.

Yep. Childress did that and BB retaliated and claimed on of the Vikings players sent to the PS.

Maybe, maybe not. The only people that know for sure what was said are Belichick and Childress. It is possible that Childress fabricated or exaggerated what may or may not have been said between the two; none of us can say it is 'absolutely' correct with any certainty.

Back to Garrett Mill, Christopher Price has an interview and column on him this morning:

It Is What It Is » Garrett Mills knows full well that star power is ‘diffused a little’ in New England

Admittedly undersized at 6-foot-1, 235 pounds, Mills knows he has to show more than just a power game in the Patriots offense. And with big tight ends like Aaron Hernandez, Rob Gronkowski and Lee Smith already on the roster, there would appear to be a spot for someone like Mills, who has played primarily in the “West Coast” scheme since leaving New England.

“I think so. I’ve been in the West Coast the last four years, coming back to this offense, it’s slowly coming back and maybe even a little faster than I thought it would,” said Mills. “I came in as a rookie in ’06 and for any rookie, it’s a change, going from college to pros, it’s a transition. I learned a lot and it really set a foundation for my professional career and what to expect.

Just becoming a smarter player. My skill set has hopefully gotten better since I was here last. I’m still a similar-type player but I feel like I’m a much more experienced and smarter player.

Garrett has played in 16 NFL games with three starts and has nine receptions for 110 yards. Now finally, he gets another shot with the team that drafted him and he couldn’t be happier.

“I think organizations might matter,” Mills added. “I feel like this is definitely a first-class organization and when they called, I was very excited.”

They are gone. I didn't know people were complaining, but I can see why. They were starting to piss me off as well.

they are gone

I wouldn't let this info out.

Chuck Norris might send over Adam Seward to avenge his honor.

Besides, a Garrett Mills seems to be more of a Sammy Morris threat since he tends to overlap as a FB.

On the other hand, maybe he's keeping the seat warm for Kyle Eckel.

Yeah, I have no idea. I was 100% going for the gag (to which TB146's wording lent itself nicely).

here me out plz. Is their a Double-Jeopardy thing in the NFL if a player put on waivers from team x ho later is claimed by team y----> is team (x) allowed to reclaim that player back if team y puts him on waivers?

No double jeapordy, q.v. we coulda signed Moss after he was cut by the Vikes and he wanted to return here

What, we signed Chuck Norris

Damn, Belichick really is laying it all on the line this year. We all know that Chuck "effing" Norris can RUSH THE PASSER. :singing:

I wonder what the fine would be for giving the QB a flying kick to the head?

You don't fine Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris fines you.

Only in years ending in 3, 6 & 9........ It's fine in all the other ones.

In 2010, the Pats waived Thomas Clayton on August 6, then resigned him on August 11, then waived him on September 4, after which the Browns signed him to their practice squad, then the Pats signed him off the Browns' practice squad September 30, then waived him October 23, after which the Browns claimed him off waivers, then waived him December 1, after which the Pats claimed him off waivers.

I'm dizzy (but it may have nothing to do with your coherent post).
