fun to do: pass mouse over 'New England Patriots' in each category
to get a page full of Patriots logos

This is really an awesome team:rocker:

Yeah, that is cool.

That being said, yardage is a mediocre guage of how good an offense or defense is. New Orleans had the "#1 offense" last year, yet 100 out of 100 people would have taken Indy's offense over the Saints.

"Passing Defense" is the worst of the bunch. More than half the time the teams who are in the top ten in "Passing Defense" are the teams who can't stop the run worth a damn.

Interesting.

New England : 6 out of 6
Pitts: 2 out of 6
Indy: 3 out of 6
Cincy: 2 out of 6
Dallas: 3 out of 6
Denver: 2 out of 6
Detroit: 2 out of 6
Tenn: 2 out of 6
San Diego: well never mind....

I was thinking of doing that, thanks.

Really underscores the unusual balance of this team, don't it?

Well, it was also three games against marginal/crappy teams. It's tough for me to get excited about stats after three games.

If we're still in the top five in all categories after game 8 I'll be impressed.

Yeah, you're right. Thanks for raining on my parade.
