Every year articles will appear about how pats always let veterans go. While this certainly has been true in certain instances, this is a popular misconception because the patriots have done by far the best job in the NFL since 2001 of keeping players. In fact, the below is pretty telling:

Troy Brown – 15 years patriots
Tom Brady – 15 years on patriots so far
Ted Bruschi – 13 years on patriots
Kevin Faulk – 13 years on patriots
Willie McGinest – 12 years on patriots
Matt Light – 11 years on patriots
Vince Wilfork – 11 years on patriots
Ted Johnson – 10 years on patriots
Ty Law – 10 years on patriots
Adam Vinatieri – 10 years on patriots
Stephen Neal – 10 years on patriots
Steven Gotkowski – 9 years on patriots so far
Logan Mankins – 9 years on patriots
Dan koppen – 9 years on patriots
Lonnie Paxson – 9 years
Dan Connolly – 8 years on patriots so far
Richard Seymour – 8 years on patriots
Mike Vrabel – 8 years on patriots
Ty Warren – 8 years on patriots
Jarvis Green – 8 years
Larry Izzo – 8 years
Jerrod Mayo – 7 years so far
Matthew Slater – 7 years so far
Sebastian Vollmer – 6 years so far
Rob Ninkovich – 6 years on patriots so far
Julian Edelman – 6 years so far
Ryan Wendell – 6 years so far
Kyle Arrington – 6 years so far
Lawyer Malloy – 6 years on patriots
Wes Welker - 6 years on patriots
Rob Gronkowski – 5 years so far
Devin McCourty – 5 years so far
There is no team in the NFL that can match those longevity numbers or even come close.

I agree with the OPs sentiments was hoping for some hard across the league numbers when I clicked on this.
Indeed, it is literally impossible to know if the OP's point is true or not without comparing our numbers to other teams' numbers.

and this information is from what verified source?

I honestly think it would be either Green Bay or Pittsburgh since neither ever really dips into the free agency pond. I also vaguely recall a couple years ago that 50 players on the Packers roster were either drafted or udfa.
