On in about 5 minutes on Ch. 5.

For those who didn't know or may have forgotten.

First time I've ever watched this amazingly enough.

Kdo

Thanks a ton for the reminder.

Thus far this ranks as one of the best ever for a lot of reasons. If you miss it tonight it's well worth the watch tomorrow AM before the talking carphony commences...

Brief recap for those who can't:

Parillo and Halloran singing a slightly different tune in hindsight. Lynchie talked about the media vitriol, did they think there were some secretly praying for a Pat's loss, but Holloran reminded him that all media ever want is a story.

Lots of emotional sideline and locker room footage including Kraft giving Bill the game ball and Tedy's how do we feel about playing for BB...awwwwwww yeah!

At home piece in St. Louis with Maroney. His nickname is koolaid. Said he got the name when he set a fire in his backyard and rather than think the get the hose he ran into the house and got a jug of koolaid to throw on it. Said at first he didn't like it, but it grew on him. He now wears a bejeweled koolaid pitcher on a chain around his neck! House is sparsely furnished, but he's collecting cars...including one of those hydraulic jacked up things...amd an Benz.

AD is AD because middle initial is D. Peeked at jumbotron so he knew he was home free - some DB told him you do that... Talked about the great LB's he gotten to play with. Says Bill spends a lot of time with them cause as a former DC those are his guys. Played varsity BB as well as football in college. Will be at lots of Celtics games. Having fun here so far.

That is amazing if you're a local. It's always been a part of my Sunday morning game day ritual. Sometimes (like tonight) I'll watch the first airing.

It was cool to see the slow mo of Belichick cheering on the sidelines as Adalius Thomas ran by on his way to the end zone. I didn't catch that before.

Yeah I'm a local and I have heard of the show just never watched it. I enjoy anything Patriots so I'll be tuning in again.

Mo, the story on "Kool Aid" is great. I always thought the nick name was random but I will learn to appreciate that nickname now. :rocker:

Let me know if you see Mike Lynch in anything other than tan pants, a pink or blue polo shirt and loafers with no socks.

Hey Mikey, no worries...that looked real cool back in 1989!

IIRC Lynchie's a Harvard man. They've been dressing that way there since 1721, or something like that!

LOL. I spent much of Thanksgaiving morning in the press box at North Andover high with Lynch and he was in the same outfit with a very heavy channel 5 jacket over it.

I wish I could see this online.

Objectively preposterous. Whether it's sports or politics, the media is never 'just looking for a story.' Everyone has an agenda and the media has the bully pulpit. Just following orders? Just doing my job? Nothing personal?

I took it all personal and I'm voting with my dollars.

They need to start archiving the show online, so many people miss it.

Took a dinner break but rest of the program was mostly the usual, panel with just Dowling, Parillo and Lynchie. Of course they all picked NE. Mike asked them what they thought of the locker room scene and fan reaction, they expected the fan support but were surprised at Bill's reaction to it - saw a side of him they never see. Figured players would rally around him but impressed by how genuine the reactions were. Then Bill did some Belistrator on Buffalo. He had spoken earlier about how the teams heart goes out to Everett and the entire Buffalo organization, said he was sure they would use that as motivation all season.

Final segment was a little guy from Bermuda, blonde cherub maybe 9-10, who had a family friend bid on and win a passing clinic with Tom Brady!!! He and his sisters, and Tom brought along his good friend Matt Cassel, looks like they spent half an hour or so on throwing mechanics and then pass and catch. Tom hollered at the kid on one nice reception - hey, that's not the route I sent you on! Dad was beaming, said it will be the highlight of his son's life.

I think what he meant was all the media ever cares about is the story. That's why they will root against a great team, or tear down a HOF HC, etc. That's also why they will cultivate vindictive sources within the league who will feed them crap that fuels fires. That is why fans need to always take the media's take or spin on something with a grain of salt. They do have an agenda - us raked over the coals as cheaters was a lot more compelling than a procedural violation that should have been a severe wrist slap and no big deal.

We can thank the media for panicking the new commish into exacting an over the top #1 pick for the 'procedural violation'.

one thing which always impresses me is when BB on the sidelines coaches the players about what they are doing or supposed to show. In this show they showed him talking to wilfork about some things about playing the NT position. I guess we dont get see other coaches but BB seems more hands on and 'coaching' type on the sideline than just a 'rah rah' noise making, speech delivering coach

Is there anyway to get this show online?
I tape in late at night since I don't get channel 5, but it got bumped last night. Damned! Sounded like a good one!

This happened during the game too. After the Chargers scored their last TD, Hobbs ran the ball back and turned it over. Then we see BB talking animatedly on the sidelines to his defense. HE didn't look angry, didn't look frustrated, he was just coaching. And lo and behold we drove them back big time on the next series and they were unable to convert the opportunity.

It was a nice moment in the game, I thought.
