Tommy Kelly not speaking with reporters but says everything with his knee are fine. Sounds like the team dodged a bullet

Gotta love this board after a loss, on the road no doubt.

Losing happen, folks. Teams of all types struggle in the NFL. Wins are not easy. It's unfortunate that they lost, but it happens. The fair weather meltdown and other such nonsense needs to stop.

Having a little perspective.

Thought I'd drop in and visit the babies. Let's face it whiners, you are unbelievably spoiled. Brady and the O had a bad game, but we're still in first place and we have some players coming back. Cheer up.

We'll be fine, we're 4-1 and 2-0 in our division.

People say they know we'll have growing pains, but when they see it, they bail out and don't act like it.

Plenty of teams would love to be in our position, rebuilding, with these injuries and be 4-1.

So we won't get the top seed. That makes us an underdog, and if the past decade has been anything to go bye, that makes us the favorites over the top seeds to win it all.

Oh I agree completely, I apologize if my post suggested concern or panic. And to that point I thought the miscommunications today with the rookies were "higher level" if that makes sense; in the Jets game they just looked completely out of rhythm. It seems like they have the timing down now, just need to get in the same mental rhythm.

Today's loss is a disappointment but on the plus side:
- As you said, still 4-1, still 2-0 in the division
- Still without our best offensive weapons (Amendola definitely wasn't 100% today, but good to see him back)
- Miami lost today so no gain from the division on us
- Dobson emerged today as another deep threat

I also think it's been a huge blessing-in-disguise that Brady hasn't been able to rely on Gronk and Amendola the past few weeks and has been forced to get used to his new toys in a real game situation. IMO, they're going to be far more developed come winter than they would have been if we'd started with all engines firing.

In my opinion a terrible game strategy by Josh McDainiels.

Can someone explain why that wasn't a safety on the play that Tommy made? Honestly curious on that one. Would appreciate it

I'd much rather be sitting in week 5 thinking the D is the best its been in many years and the O is out of whack than ringing up the scoreboard and wondering how we will stop teams.

Six points might have won a game in the 1950's..........there's your perspective

Tough break for you borges, looks like tommy kelly isn't hurt. you must be bummed.

Off topic but #2 pick Luke Joeckel out for the season. Teddy-time in Jacksonville all but locked in.
And in typical Jags fashion, they traded away Eugene Monroe for peanuts.

Gotta love when people make these sorts of BS comments.

Geno Atkins is one of the top 3 DTs in the LEAGUE. Except for the one play, the Pats contained him pretty well. Then they had issues with the DEs in Dunlap and Dingleberry...

All teams have issues with guys like Atkins. It's why he's considered one of the best.

Claiming this has been a weakness for the Pats for 7 years is just a flat out lie. And please don't try and point to the losses against the Giants in the SB because the issue there wasn't quick DTs...

Gotta love your combination of indignation and ignorance. Maybe you need to rewatch SB 42 because Justin Tuck dominated that game playing from the DT position. He was also a major force in SB 46 from the interior. He made Mankins his ****** in both games.

Brady's game is built on stepping into his throws. He can't throw off balance, and he can't throw on the run. Atkins and his mates inside were the problem all day preventing Brady from getting his front foot planted. Not saying they're not good, just saying we have to block guys like that better or we won't be able to win a SB.

Such a great post. Hoody lets Welker go, TB's security blanket, and after losing AH BB did nothing to replace him. Someone needs to tell Bill that yes, you CAN have to many 5'9 185 receivers, who cant jump, run, or make people miss. Brady has such small windows to throw in, especially on deep balls, that its amazing he does what he does.

And no, a UDFA Thompkins doesn't count as trying to get Brady weapons. The book on Dobson was that he is inconsistent hands and wasn't the brightest, and look what we have

And this is what kills me. If Brady was 26 and was trying to groom Dopson and Thompkins to play with him for years and year then I could deal with this. The problem is that Brady is 36. How many years does he he left.

I know people will say "But Brady is so good he can play until 40! "The question is why would he want to? Do you think Brady wants to spend his remaining few years trying to throw to 5'11 slot wide outs and players who may simply remain average?

The pats are so worried about cap space, overspending and being great in 7 years that they are wasting the last few years of Brady's career. BB has done a great job fixing the defense, who not overspend for a stud receiver or two for the next 3 seasons? After Brady retires this team is going to rebuild anyway.

What does that have to do with the Pats?

Might have an opening at qb soon.

If I was Brady id probably call it a career rather than risk tarnishing my legacy with the "skill" players he has to work with

Ball is spotted where forward momentum stops. You can't carry an offensive player backwards.

Because he was down on 1 before being pushed into the end zone.

i care more about tommy kelly status...then the loss here. Although they now have a chance to lose 2 in a row to a SB contending team coming here next week

Yep. Defense is what will win games in December and January.

Forward progress. The hit occurred at the 2, and he pushed him back into the end zone.
Otherwise you could pick the guy up on your shoulder at the 10, carry him into the end zone and call it a safety. (Like I did with my little brother whenever we played one on one in the front yard when I was 9)
