More to the point, any thoughts on whether the next CBA could or should set in stone the offset, guarantee and bonus payout timing terms in a rookie contract? As it is now they are the only real negotiation points in a rookie contract. Seems like the type of relatively easy W the union might try to pick up and unless you're the cheap ass Chargers there's really not much there of consequence.

Yeah the players really don't have alot of leverage under the current CBA.
Honestly the NBA is the best formula in sports in that regard in my opinion.
However don't get attached to players on the other hand being a Patriot fan we know never to be attached to a player because BB is the ultimate decison maker when it comes to NFL talent I love that he doesnt get attached or concerned to fandom opinion.
Time will tell on the Jimmy G front if Brady plays at a high level over the next 2 to 3 seasons and we land a starting QB down the road to keep us competitive in the playoffs its a win.
If Bradys throws become Peyton like and he sees Ghosts around him and throws to no area code while Jimmy G is hoistng Lombardi's then this would be his biggest failure.
If it comes out he truly didn't want to let Jimmy go and his boss forced it then shane on Robert.

My biggest pet peeve is not retaining TY Law one of my favorite players of all time.
He should of retired a Patriot.

The Michel contract looks pretty good now that the RB market is heating up again.

I keep going back to that Rose Bowl game vs Oklahoma. It was literally like a Sony Michel highlight film. You can just see how explosive Michel is in that game. Just an amazing performance. It probably sealed his move up to the 1st round. He reminds me a lot of Shady McCoy, minus the off the field stuff. The way he cuts is so similar, as well as he’s the same height and weight (pretty much). Love the way Michel runs, speed, power, elusiveness, just a joy to watch.

I'd be surprised if Harmon wanted to change twice in one season, but I do agree that 21 would like nice on Michel. 29 is open, though. Blount made that number look great.
