I really, really, really hated the Kevin Finnerty parts. There were also a few tropes throughout the show that annoyed me, like their affinity for watching black-and-white TV shows and films. I know it was meant to be some artistic representation of the story as it was being told but I didn't find it realistic that Meadow and AJ would be watching that **** too in their spare time.
Kevin Finnerty....the other dream sequences......Tony in Vegas....the whole "Clever" ****. So frustrating.

I struggled with Sopranos after S5.
I won't argue that.

I didn't struggle but they certainly weren't as good. Seasons 3 and 4 were ok. But seasons 1 and 2 are as good as my favorite movies.

TV shows just run for way too long I try not to hold that against them.

What are you guys currently watching? Mrs and I burned thru Landman, Billy Bob Thornton chews the scenery. That was good. We are following along with 1923. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are great. The young woman that plays Alexandra is the perfect amount of crazy and hot. We are also watching the other Taylor Sheridan show Lioness, which is also entertaining, maybe a little Sheridanesque in it's formula.

... and I bet we get bounced to the pub with this.

Can’t find any good series right now. Watching mostly documentaries. The Bill Russell documentary is what I’m watching currently. Simply an amazing human being.

Reacher.

Landman was great. So was Lioness. 1923 is great. Spencer is my hero.

I admit i'm watching White Lotus w/ Mrs RW. Good show but I'm grossed out. Last episode was out of bounds.

Lately i've been nostalgic and watching Gene Hackman movies. What an actor.

Dark Winds is decent......From is ok

Sadly, most good/great shows fail to stick the landing.

True, but Cobra Kai stuck the landing. It's not high art, but damn, it was a great send off for Johnny.

Highly, highly recommend Shogun if folks haven't seen it. Might be the best show I've seen in years.

Now that Diggs is a Patriot I can be impressed with this. Lol

It wasn't a great play by Diggs but it came on the last play of a playoff game. His reaction wasn't that far-fetched.

It was a profoundly bad play by the DB who not only whiffed on the tackle but took out the only other defensive player with a chance of catching Diggs.

That play and the refs' whiff in another big playoff game made it a pretty bad time for the Saints.

Speaking of Billy Bob, Fargo was excellent

Shogun was outstanding, right there with Chernobyl for quality viewing. It hewed much closer to Clavell's story than the 1980 miniseries. It will be interesting to see where they take it in the second season

He really didn't get that much in relation to what WR's are getting paid. 26 million guaranteed is not a lot.

Also the Patriots couldn't attract veteran free agent WR's, they had to pay more than the next guy and sign a player coming off knee surgery.
If he comes back healthy, or even close, it's a great signing for the Pats. They may surprise a lot of people this year.

We just finished Landman and Lioness, we have one episode left of 1923 season 1. I really liked the Lioness, I read a lot of those types of books.

Watched Celtic's City and I did not realize what they had done in totality.....and people complained about us??!??!
