We can't afford to treat September as an extended Training Camp. Those days are Over.
All new (-special teams) coaching staff and large amount of rookies looking at starting including LT and basically QB. This training camp is running to November.

I really wish they had played Wilson exclusively at Center during TC & preseason. LG in the NFL's gonna be way too new to him this year; maybe by this time next year but I feel he has enough on his plate for this year already.

They're trying to figure this out.

Of the 7 top OL currently (Campbell/Wilson/Brown/Bradbury/Onwenu/Moses/Bryant, no one was on the team a year ago, except Onwenu.

You understand that means no POs this season then.

He might very well be thought-of this way by the coaches, but I'm just not yet willing to think of Brown as a top-7 OLman.

Don't think mutually exclusive but I don't think we're going far in the playoffs. Think Sept - Oct we'll be even +/-1 and then start to come together.

More or less agree with this. I try not to place too much stock in completion % during practice or even pre-season games; other factors unknown to us might be in-play sometimes...

I wonder, however, what McD really thinks of Maye's overall QB mechanics...
I’d say the biggest problem I see with Maye is the biggest problem I see with most young QB’s…. he doesn’t step into his throws. He relies too much on his arm and thinks he gets style points for throwing off balance or off his back foot. It’s stupid.

Tom Brady was the best because he looked like a passing robot. He tried to use perfect form on every throw. Even Tommy annoyed me when he wasn’t stepping into them, which is why I always thought he played better when he was angry… so I always hoped some defender would sht talk him. When he got angry he stepped into his passes and threw lasers.

Maye needs to be more consistent with his form. Step into it, drive it… don’t get fcking cute.

Again it's a process that they're figuring out.

Of the 6 new OL, three are rookies, and three are band aids. Of the 3 band aids, Brown has the best chance of being longer term.

In other words this mess won't be cleaned up in one off season. It's a complete rebuilt.

But people lose sight of how a great start this seems to be for the OL. It's unrealistic to expect no weakness with the unit this fast..
