Disappointed that Strange continues to suffer from Damian Woody Syndrome at center. Was hoping he could contribute big there. A knuckleballer snapping shotgun ... no good.

I hate to say it, but it's time to get real about this offense & Maye's apparent weakness in it.
It has been a regular report out of camp that Maye does not throw to WR's much. His completions today are only TE & RB. Short middle, or dump off's. That's even more concerning since Gonzo hasn't been practicing, nor Davis for most of camp.
Either that's because the OL is collapsing too quick, or Maye isn't reading stuff quick enough to see WR's on time. Both are super discouraging. And Maye's little time in the games has proven that out. Dan O did a great film review of Maye not seeing and/or not pulling the trigger on wide open receivers - instead holding it, and scrambling. Not good.

So perhaps the Wilson/Brown stuff is much ado about nothing? It didn't just feel like injury management, but maybe it was...
Yeah looks like Wilson had an ankle injury. I threw up a little in my mouth when I saw the tweets about Bradbury taking 1st team reps at Center...again. If he is still there for game one...then maybe I'm not getting the bigger picture or missing something. He's terrible.

I can't mentally wrap my head around the idea of cutting or trading Cole Strange and keeping Ben Brown.

It's reality.

Maye is still evolving as a QB and learning Josh's offense. Additionally his best WR in Diggs has not seen the field.

Time will tell but some of us are convinced this will be a run-first team for the reasons you outline.

In the regular season and it's third and long, these one-on-one struggles will come back to your mind.
I'm sure it will... as I have said before, and it bears repeating... He's getting better every day...

and when the opposite is true, and he pancakes someone I'm sure you will forget all about this... but I won't

Well when you have - Bradbury - Wilson and Brown: it could be a reality. Seems like Vrabel is not high on some of these BB picks Dugger and Strange.

It could be that Mcdanials is emphasizing that part of his offensive scheme, but this defense is really good and maybe maye doesn't have enough time like you posted

No sane person could question Campbell's run blocking. He can put on a clinic. Last year he did run blocking pancakes against Oklahoma and USC that were NC-17. Total domination.

But pass blocking on an island with his stubby wingspan? Or handling a stunt since he engages too closely because of his lack of length? well, that's still TBD.

Landon Jackson is a Buffalo Bill. So this will be an intriguing match up.

so if its an issue, him being on an island, then its up to the coaching staff to make sure he's not left on an island until he proves he's gotten better...

and in every instance we've seen, he's learned from his mistakes and gotten better... can't rightly ask more than that...
