This is a strange kind of good news, but it's good news nonetheless. If he was still feeling the effects of that concussion, I would be worried about his long-term quality of life. Even if this injury ends his time with the Patriots, it's still the far better alternative for him personally.

I would only add this much: If the doctors have cleared him to play after his concussion, and have explained to him the potential damage from any future concussions, then it is up to him to make that decision as to whether to play or not.

He can make an informed decision, and I would have no problems with him going back onto the field, or retiring.

He still has to make a living somehow. I'm sure he has some money set aside, but he;s still young. It's his decision whether to play or not, and I won't fault him for taking that chance. He's an adult and has plenty of access to honest medical advice.

Regardless of WHAT is wrong with him, the reality is that we have a ton of seemingly capable defensive linemen on the team now. The longer Mike goes without practicing or playing, the more likely he is to lose ground to the various newcomers.

When it comes time to decide who gets the final few roster spots, he may be at a significant disadvantage.

I don't believe he's 100% right in the head, even if he isn't having the severe problems he had earlier.

I further hope and trust that the organization has learned a lot from Ted Johnson and Corwin Brown.

I expect Wright to recover slowly from whatever the other problem is, and part of the issue to be his head. I don't expect to see him play again.

Good luck to him. I hope it turns out he stopped playing football soon enough.

I'll miss having him on the team.

You can't write a whole article just based on that. I knew I shouldn't have read it , but I did and now regret for not doing something else with my time.
I know your job is tough because of BB, but try harder, go throw Wrights stuff if you have to to get us more info lol
