Boyce is a fantastic physical specimen, no doubt, but that's not what makes a good WR. We've seen this story play out a hundred times, but I like Boyce as a high upside pick. He didn't produce much in his last couple years of college, but that could very well have been because he had a genuinely inept quaterback. If it turns out that he has the football IQ and instincts to thrive in the NFL, then the Pats could well end up with a first round talent out of a fourth round pick. Or he'll wash out of the NFL. Whatever the end result is, I liked the strategy behind the pick at the time that it was made, so I support the pick. I feel the same way about Brandon Tate. Yeah, the pick didn't pan out, but if you're going to get first round talent in the third round, it's because a major red flag is attached to it one way or another. You just have to accept the red flag and hope that the player overcomes it.
