As of now, this looks like a very tough schedule. We'll see what happens in FA and the draft and then injuries in training camp/pre-season but the Pats have no cupcakes next year.

Tuff schedules never are a problem for us

I have learned not to make too many judgements on a future schedule. Last year I initially thought our 2016 opponents was the toughest schedule since 07 because of @Arizona, @Steelers, Baltimore, Bengals, Seahawks, @Broncos and the obvious road division games. It turned out that several of those teams had down years. It also seems like whenever I think we have an easy schedule, it ends up being tougher than I expected because of some surprise teams.

Hopefully after next year the NFL can stop with the ridiculous scheduling between the Pats and Broncos in regards to where the games are. Three years in a row in NE, then three years in a row in Denver is stupid.

It happens to every non-divisional AFC conference opponent. It has to happen that way for the math to work. You only notice it when teams finish in the same position 2 years in a row (division champs in the Broncos and Pats case, and the divisions are playing each other next year anyway, the one year they don't finish in the same spot).

Don't look now, but the Patriots will be playing Houston at home 3 years in a row - this year, next year, and 2018. And if the Pats and Steelers both finish in the same place in the standings in 2017, the Pats will be playing the Steelers in Pittsburgh 3 years in a row - this year, next year, and 2018.

Hammer- Great explanation!
This is one of my pet peeves. Amazed that people still don't understand how the schedule works and that think the league favors certain teams when they schedule opponents.

A fair number of above-average teams, but none that really concern me at this moment... Not a "hard" schedule but hard enough to keep the team battle-tested for the playoffs, which is good.

My super-duper way-too-early prediction is: 13-3.
