Kind of a lame list. Lots of omissions like these…

2001 AFC Championship game. Unpack those bags for New Orleans. Joey Porter was right the Patriots weren’t at the Steelers level. They were higher up.

The 2002 season opener vs Pitt. Everybody was writing off Brady and the Patriots coming off a Super Bowl championship as a one year wonder. I remember every single ESPN “expert” picked the Steelers to beat the champs in the season opener at the brand new Gillette Stadium. IIRC even the Steelers were talking trash. The Pats kicked their teeth in and that was awesome.

Bills 31 Pats 0 and they hate their coach. They won the whole thing and all was right with the world.

2006 AFC Divisional playoff vs Chargers. Nobody gave us a chance. Merriman did some rap or something that he was going to punch Brady in the face. Didn’t work out too well in the game. When even Troy Brown joined in the mocking of Merriman’s lights out dance you know they must have been real A-holes to provoke him.

Game 2 of the 2007 season vs Chargers, the first game after the Spygate scandal. People were talking like without the videotaping the Pats would fall to the bottom of the NFL which was hilarious. Even Tomlinson was joining in the pile-on. Pats also kicked their teeth in and that 38-14 score was closer than the game felt. Lots of crow had to be served. To a lesser extent… the Super Bowl after Deflategate for the same reasons…

definitely. My reaction after reading it was most of those were tepid at best. Steelers was the only one that was worth the electrons to post, IMO.

Was it mike vanderjagt who said we were ripe for the picking before the 20-3 drubbing of the colts in 2004

Basically every steeler blowout they said something stupid before. Tomlin’s leaked locker room speech was the best. Bunch of amateurs next to us.
