Have you ever seen a draft class take such a hit in just one year:

1 27 Devin McCourty CB Rutgers
2 42 Rob Gronkowski TE Arizona
2 53 Jermaine Cunningham OLB Florida
2 62 Brandon Spikes ILB Florida
3 90 Taylor Price WR Ohio U.
4 113 Aaron Hernandez TE Florida
5 150 Zoltan Mesko P Michigan
6 205 Ted Larsen G North Carolina State
7 208 Thomas Welch OT Vanderbilt
7 247 Brandon Deaderick DE Alabama
7 248 Kade Weston DT Georgia
7 250 Zac Robinson QB Oklahoma State

What looked like the greatest draft in team history has now decomposed into the following:

-One pro-bowl caliber safety (first round pick, which is expected.)

-One great tight end with major injury problems (which is what the scouting report said)

-A bunch of other players no longer with the team, mainly due to a lack of talent (except for one in prison.)

226 receptions 3,255 yards 43 TDs

No 2nd round TE is "expected" to do that in 4 seasons.

Interestingly enough, looks like BB was burned by every Florida player selected. Says a lot about Urban Meyer's program. There wasn't one responsible/mature player among them

i think Spikes will continue to have a solid career as will mesko.

just not here obviously.

It was a great draft, a bit unlucky with the injuries
