Going to the game on sunday for the first time in a few years. Coming from the west/495 way. How much more are the McDonalds lots? Can you get into them around 1100 or so or are they already filled up? What about taking the train in from Mansfield? Is 30 mins after the game realistic or is it too rushed
thanks
jeff

A friend of mine told me this route, as I was a newbie 6yrs ago.

If you are coming from rt. 495 (North or South). Take exit: 15. This is rt. 1A (toward Wrentham/Plainville). Follow the sign to 1A-North. This is South-st. Stay on 1A, till you reach MA-115. Make a right onto MA-115 (Pine St). Make a left onto Everrett St (2nd left after you got onto MA-115). Follow this road as it will become Summer St. Follow this road, and you will have to make a left or right. Make a right. Follow this and you will see McDonalds on your right. Make a right turn onto rt.1 (around McDonalds). There will be 2 lots on your right. You can choose the closer one to McDonalds, or the next one. I usually pick the 2nd lot as it has more bathrooms.

This route avoids the massive gridlock on rt. 1, until the very end. Also, when you leave, there is an officer to allow you to take a left out the the lot. I take the reverse back home.

Good luck... I cannot go, as I am broke.

PS - Titans-Patriots game, I ate the hot-sausages and hot-cocoa to keep warm...

Have you ever tried hot chocolate and peppermint shnapps? How about coffee and Kahlua? You have to think outside the box (or bottle as it were).

Are you going to the game?

... that's funny ............... :ditto:

Body long johns and winter boots...boots are really important, you could be covered everywhere else, but if you don't have proper footwear, game over man...

Sorry, forgot to say that last year, the cost of parking was $50 or $60.

I agree that drinking is a bad move. Layering is a very good move. Now that I'm used to a sub-tropical climate, NE winter weather really hurts. I've used those hand and foot warmers and they help alot. The key is to not minding looking like you weigh 50 lbs more than you do.h
