I believe that the active list is due one hour and 15 minutes before kickoff, unless this has been changed recently.

A practice squad promotion and a corresponding roster move, as far as I know, can occur right up until then as well.

I can't find a link for a rule on tming of gameday roster moves, however, so this is just my recollection

Correct. 4pm is the deadline, and once it is reported to the league office, the news will filter out.

I'm still going with Tarp to IR, because we have great depth at ILB. That's the logical move, which probably means I'm wrong.

I was baffled about Maneri too, but from the timing it looked like they only cut him after securing Welch to the PS. So I guess their memories of Welch were warm ones.

I think they will go with Light and Solder and in a pinch they will shift Mankins to left tackle, Williams to left guard and Connolly to right guard.

Yup the Pats let LeVoir go, and then let Manieri go once they knew they had Welch back, so it looks like Scar liked Welch best of the three of them (although I doubt any of them will be an All-Pro).

Why would we not activate the chosen #4 OT?
