Sure, they will be tested next week, but Brees would be challenge for any defense.

We have a top 10 defense. We could use a veteran NT. Other than that we all have our minor nitpicks, regarding end of the roster choices. The reality is the defense has been playing well, and should be expected to improve as the season continues.

this is the best defense the pats have had since 2007 I cant wait to see what they can do vs one of the best QB's of all time, this is the biggest tast for this defense until the Brady Manning bowl

If we can actually have a decent gameplan to try and stop Graham and Sproles, then we may have a shot. Of course the offense should be expected to produce much better after a hard week of practice, another game under Amendola's best, and the possibility of getting a healthy Gronkowski back again.

The TE/RB problems that we've grown accustomed to will eat us alive between Graham and Sproles though, so that's my main concern in trying to develop a successful gameplan against them.

Normally the Saints aren't as tough away from home, but they've looked pretty good so far. They even have a much better defense than they normally do. This will certainly be one of the most difficult games on the schedule in my opinion, and the reality is that we're facing a 2 game losing streak to drop to 4-2.

We're currently sitting on the #2 scoring defense in the NFL by pts/gm. In week 1 or week 2, that might be a fluke, by week 5 we're seeing what should be the real deal. Unfortunately we lost a very key player but we creatively filled his hole, to an extent, with Spikes on run blitzes.

Once we get Ridley, Gronk, and Vereen back I think our 3rd down and redzone struggles will become much less evident and we'll field an offense capable of keeping the opponents offense off the field for an extra minute or 2 here and there and we'll see our defense improve even more.

This is by far the best defense we've seen in New England in at least half a decade. The great thing about them? They're young. 1st-5th year players starting in almost every spot. The draft has finally started paying off and if we can keep this group together we'll be happy for some time.

New England yesterday 0 penalties for 0 yards... it's getting absolutely pathetic the level of favoritism showered on the Pats. Why is that? Well...

Robert Kraft holds all the cards with the television networks. They aren't going to let his team lose. Remember, (a) Kraft is also a board member at Viacom, CBS's parent and (b) CBS actually has an equity stake in the Patriot Place commercial mall/development. How no one in the media has ever really brought them up or focused on those conflicts never ceases to amaze me....

Graham worries me because I don't see how we cover him. It will be interesting to see what BB can come up with.
