we gave up our 4th round pick and 31 overall for the 25th overall for Hightower, what did we give up for 21?

Jones' durability does worry me a little but his upside is ridiculous and he'll be a starter day 1......Mayock really loves him the most out of all the Tweeners/OLB's/DE's in this draft. Hes one of the few analysts that I feel know what hes talking about........

I also heard the Pats were enamored with Jones during the workout........

Hightower/Spikes/Mayo.........nuff said

Can't wait to see the defensive improvement this year......2 young starters that will give some help where it is needed most. Plug in the vet FA's where needed to mentor and this 13-3 team just got better....

Day 2 may see a trade up also. I suspect if BB has another hafta have player he would pull the trigger and bundle both 2nd rounders to get closer to the top of the round and maybe recoup a third or fourth rounder in exchange.

Whoda thunk he'd trade UP TWICE in round one?

Yeah, great 1st round. I liked Hightower for us for a long time because of his versatility.

There's still a lot of good players left and as you say, I wouldn't be shocked with another trade up. I was happy to see us be agressive and move up for Jones and was shocked when Pittburgh was on the clock and then NE popped up as having the next pick. We've just about seen it all from Belichick in the draft now.

Pats wouldn't of made the pick if they weren't sure a player was going to be there. It could be possible they wanted both, but you never find these things out until years later

Mike Lombardi also LOVED Chandler Jones.

He would have taken Jones at 8 if he was running the Dolphins.
