I wonder why Kansas City who has Jared Allen who wants out and Cincinnati who has Chad Johnson who wants out not negotiating together?

Kansas City improves thier receiving corps immediately and gets rid of a disgruntled Allen while Cincinnati gets rid of a Receiver who does not want to play and gets a Pass Rushing threat they have rarily ever had.

Then the two teams swap picks in the first round to satisfy Cincinnati's FO reluctance to get rid of Johnson

Makes sense? - I think so - The only question being the cap situation between the two

Neither team wants to make the long term big $ committment their current star is asking for which is why the trade talk is out there. It is also likely that neither team would want anything to do with paying a big $ deal to the other team's star.

And why would the Chief's trading the vastly superior player also trade the higher pick?

If the Chiefs have a need for a WR somewhere in the draft this is a better option for them to get a proven player and just drop a few pegs down which is not really much of an issue,They are not keeping Allen anyway

Allen is the better player of the two in thier respective positions, but he does have some off the field issues that hopefully is an isolated thing.

Or Maybe Cincinnati won't budge no matter what another team offers - Another reason why they have not been seriously competitive in quite some time

I think THAT is the issue..they are running behind the curve and by being stubborn they will lose out in the end..YES..the reason why they really are where they are..would make sense to do it..the Skins trade is far good..for not taking it they risk a lot..so instead of having 2 first rounders is better than wither NO big time wideout OR a disgruntled one in their locker room?? they will not get better with a FO that is that stupid..

Herm's not going to pass anyways, so why trade for a top receiver.

Yeah, I mean he's already ran Larry Johnson's legs out so why even sign a receiver? Better yet, why even have a receiver on the field when you can add at least three more down linemen to run the ball every single play. "WE ARE GOING TO POUND THE ROCK!" Yes, Herm, you pounded the rock so much that you're star running back has lost five years of his career.
