But this was cringy to watch. I'll chalk it up to nerves and give him a pass. Teams hiring practices has really gotten out of hand though. The Texans hiring of random guy David Culley was bizarre. Especially their explanation why according the Adam Schefter.

Starting to think Bienemy saw the dysfunction in Houston & the QB-forcing in Philly and decided to pass. I mean, in other years, those are probably enticing destinations. But I figure Bienemy just told them « nah ».

The NFL has to have a head coach period after the Superbowl just like the players have a free agency period. It's blatantly unfair and wrong incentives for bad teams to compete to hire coaches during playoffs but great coaches on alive playoff teams can't interview or be offered roles.

I was actually going to put in the OP that it's worse than Gase's conference. Gase looked high AF but at least he was relatively coherent.
