Pats fan in Atlanta here. As you might expect, this is a big story on local sports radio. He was released from the hospital and is back with his family. It sounds like (hopefully) not a big deal. From a football perspective, the Falcons don't want to give Vic Beasley a second contract, but this is contingent on Takk being healthy mentally and physically to take his place.
As an amusing aside, the nightmare scenario of the local populace is a Saints-Patriots Super Bowl. The thought of the Saints practicing in the Falcons facility and their fans overrunning Atlanta is freaking people out. (There is a huge bitter rivalry between the Falcons and Saints). On the other hand, even the mention of the Patriots invokes PTSD among the locals. The general consensus is that the Patriots would become very popular down here if the Saints beat the Rams.
