Unless Strange can slide in there
That's the hope Pape. But we'll still need a solid Center even in the later rounds as that is such an important position.

Think they will wait on that because of Jake Andrews?

For what it's worth, Rashawn Slater hasn't been tagged or extended yet. Just thought that I'd throw that out there.

Kind of a bummer
I think the Pats could have paid him a bit more than that.

I could have easily seen the Patriots offer 25m per year to lock him up. He didn't even get a pay raise, his previous contract also averaged 20m per year. Maybe he got a large portion of it guaranteed but yeah this definitely hurts the free agency pool at LT now.

And the funny thing is, even if the Ravens sniff a SB, I doubt they'll win one. Lamar reminds me of Marino/Kelly, a lot of awards and MVP's for the regular season, but no bling to show for it.

What free agency pool? Haha.

Like seriously though?

It's funny because it's true! I'm terrified!!!
Long way to go...FA, draft, trades, etc. Plenty of time but the line will need time to gel. During that time it could be a rough road

Teams hold onto solid OT's with an iron grip unless they have some major issue like injuries or are aging out. This was always going to be the hardest position to fill.
Yes, just like Joe Thuney.
Oh..wait…

That's a very likely scenario.
I’d still rather take a better player than a short, armed offensive lineman that we are overdrafting.
Maybe we come out with a quick, short, passing game that opens up the running attack and we can get by with a makeshift offensive line. Just have to keep Drake upright.

My fear is we will draft for need instead of what could be a really talented player at #4.
The silver lining with that scenario could be a small trade down and pick up an extra 2nd.

The Stanley loss really raises the ante to get some quality defensive FA’s especially Milton Williams, so we can focus the draft on offense.

Trade down within top 8 for a 2nd rounder, take Membou with pick 1, then trade the two 2nds to move back up to 20 and take Simmons.

Take a chance on Tyron Smith for a year
