I’m Canadian (Vancouver) and that isn’t entirely true. Not that Canadians have much shame, but seeing so much collective willingness to drop their alleged deep rooted fanhood in other teams and commit allegiance to Edmonton is embarrassing.
Enjoyable game, but I think Edmonton coaching mismanged the end. He left his stars on the ice too long. I mean, I know that is where your talent is but they could hardly move their legs that last minute.
It is slightly west of the east coast. Why do I keep thinking Ontario is on the West coast…

You have the fair weather sports fan who watch 3 games a year and now want to see a Canadian team win. There’s a whole lot of those people. But a lot of (not all) the hardcore fans don’t want to see a rival win. I certainly didn’t want to see the Oilers win the cup, it would be like cheering for the Bills to win the Super Bowl.
The Oilers who are loaded with offense beat FLA 3 times in a 7 game series.Like a hot ax thru a small pad of imitation butter
It was a tough series. The Canucks are a few pieces away, but we lost both our starting goaltender, who is a vezina candidate for best in the league this year, and his backup in the first round. Our 3rd string goaltender actually played pretty well though. Then in game 7 against the Oilers our leading goal scorer was out with a blood clot which came up due to blocking a shot. And once Edmonton got McDavid and Draisaitl going they were tough to stop. Canucks actually scored 2X in the 3rd to make it a 1 goal game but time ran out.How did the Jack Adams winner allow his team to lose to Edmonton anyway? I was rooting hard for the Canucks in that series.
