OT: Schefter reports Colts Freeney torn ligament in ankle

UPDATE.....

Colts change their wording of injury....calling it a third degree low basketball sprain.....

Status still remains questionable.

A thrid degree sprain is the "proffesional" term, it's still pretty bad and he has torn ligament/s. I had a grade 3 a few years ago, leaves your ankle pretty weak afterwards too unless you do extensive strengthening work.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Manning led an incredible comeback, with a huge monkey on his back against his biggest rival.

If it hadn't been for the tuck rule, Martz forgetting the offensive gameplan, the Carolina kicker shanking it, McNabb getting sick, etc, etc.

And how have Brady's last 5 years been? The 2007 SB was arguably the biggest single-team choke in football history (and he was QB, btw)

I don't think you grasp either the meaning of the word "excuse" (in sporting context) or the meaning of the word "choke". But, that's to be expected from a Colts fan.

Its pretty pathetic when instead of talking on your own message boards (where your team is playing in the SUPERBOWL next week).you colts fans would rather ***** about Manning a pats board.

I bet they suddenly disappear if the Colts lose next week. They won't want to come back and deal with the gloating, which I will certainly be doing if they lose. And then there is the fact that it will add more ammo to the Brady being better than Manning debate.

If they do lose, it probably will be more because of Manning than not having Freeney. Remember, the Colts aren't playing the Bears in the superbowl this year. The Saints can put up tons of points on the board so if Manning chokes and starts throwing interceptions or alot of incomplete passes, they're done.

The rainy weather helped the Colts as well - Grossman had like how many slips and mishandling of the footballs in that game?

Yeah, I know Grossman is terrible, but in all fairness, if the weather was OK, I doubt Rex would have slipped and fumbled like that in the game.(i.e. on one possession in the 2nd half, they were moving the ball fine, until Rex slipped down on 3rd and 1)

as long as manning and wayne are playing no problem for the colts. no offene puts pressure on a defense for 60 minutes like them

Colts RBs usually step up big in big games as well(even though they're only above average), alot like they did a couple of years ago.
