Watching Olympics Rugby Sevens on USA network. Don't quite understand all the rules, but I get the gist. Quite entertaining.

My fav - by far - Olympic handball. One of the best parts of modern times: I get to watch the actual sports (handball) instead of the BS they’ll be peddling on network tv.

Also, I love our soccer scandal.

This would be like eliminating all OL / DL / TEs from the game of football and just throwing it all the time, except you can't rush the QB until you count to 3 Mississippi.

Rugby Union is a lot more interesting and strategic.

I’ve always wondered if you could take NBA players, train them for a few months and try and In the handball gold medal. Probably wouldn’t have enough experience but I think they could be very competitive. Handball is more physical than basketball but I think NBA players are bigger and faster, and better athletes.

I really enjoy watching Rugby 7's...
Those dudes are tough as nails, no wonder they drink so much beer afterwards.

Rugbys very fun to play/watch. Good luck understanding the rules though lol. I get lost trying to figure out the rules along with cricket…

Sign her up.

Women's rugby... always tackle high and even at this level. It's a vicious dangerous sport on the women's side. Men's side is more form tackling.

Must’ve been a lousy teacher or my thick skull not getting it.
1. Line of scrimmage is the ball
2. Can't knock the ball forward or it's the other team's ball
3. When there are infractions for offsides or knocking the ball forward, the opposing team has many options: scrum, punt, kick through the uprights, run a play with the defense 5 yards back.
4. Behind your 22 yard line, you can kick it out of bounds to switch the field (i.e. lineout throw-in at the spot the ball went out). Past your 22, the ball has to bounce in before it goes out, or else the lineout takes place where you kicked it.
5. In a scrum, ruck (player on the ground, ball on the ground, teams try to establish control by pushing/stepping over the player), or maul (player is not taken to the ground yet and both teams are pushing), you stay on sides by staying connected (grabbing the jersey) of a teammate who is engaged with the runner or guy on the ground.

Nice! Ever get into Australian rules rugby?

You don't know what are you talking, my friend. Because you can jump high, throw fast and hard or because you are big... doesn't mean that you can automatically be good in handball. Totally different level.
This is typical American arrogance, btw

Here is just for you...

I’ve been playing and watching the sport of handball for 30 including the Empire State games in NY, and have watched over a hundred high level club and international matches in person. I understand the skepticism. I don’t think NFL stars are well suited to the sport but I think NBA players are. If they had several years to hone specific skills and learn team- based strategies I think they have the skill set athletically to compete at a top level. However even 6 months is likely not enough as I noted in my post.

Cricket is the absolute worst.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one that feels similarly. As much as I’ve wanted to understand it….i give up…I can’t do it lol. It looks like it could be a ton of fun to watch/play but d%#*!@t all rules etc..

Man Perry Baker at 38 with the wheels. Can't believe a dude who ran a 10.58 100m in HS only ran a 4.69 at his Pro Day.

dang the 2032 olympic city is already set
