So these ex players and coaches can constantly debate how good he is or not even after 20 yrs of excellence but he responds ,he is sensitive ?
No kidding. They were practically begging him to stay in NE or retire. Said he was too old to learn something new. Not only has he come out flying, he did during Covid with no off-season.

The Belichick-krishnas are full of excuses.

It was his first year in Cleveland, it doesn't count!
It was his first year in New England, it doesn't count!
Covid! It doesn't count!
The Browns were moving, it doesn't count!
He lost Kosar! It doesn't count!
Wait until next year when we are third in the division again ...

The Bucs are not going for a dynasty. They want to win a Super Bowl. Best way to do that is to draft 4 CBs and 4 LT
They can always get a young free agent QB that just needs a new team. There's Sam Darnold, Wentz, Tyrod Taylor,...

I think they just wanted a guy for these last 2 games given how bad Mullens has been. If anything Jimmy's job is more secure. They got zippo behind him.

Last year the 49ers were 13-3. This year they are 5 - 9. If Mullens started at QB all year the 49ers might have ended up 3 - 13. What a difference a QB makes!! And I heard a lot of people say Mullens is better than Cam.

Well there goes Tampa’s succession plan at QB. All jokes aside the Bucs are another team that should be in qb market this coming April with TB entering his age 44 season.
If Brady has a good 2021 season, I think there is greater than 50% chance he is back for year 2022. In 2023, Roger's is available and I'm betting that they'll try and land him for another 2 or 3 before he retires too.

I didn’t know Mullens needs elbow surgery. Seems like the smart thing to do to pick up Rosen if he was available.

That would be one heck of a plan if the timing works out like that.

No way weenie Rogers would have the stones to risk his legacy by coming to Tampa after Brady, assuming TFB continues to perform decently. Were he to underperform Brady at the Bucs he'd be dumped on. Rogers is a guy noted for few 4th quarter comebacks. He hates to risk his low INT stats by taking the chances necessary to stage a comeback. Brady is fearless even though throwing picks drives him crazy.

The Brady fans twisting themselves into pretzels trying to convince themselves and everyone else that Belichick sucks as a coach is quite comical.
Bill doesn’t sucks as a coach is the best. I think he is not that good as a GM. The debate is more Brady vs BB GM not BB HC.

we think Bill is a good GM because of the winning seasons. But a lot of NE teams over the last 20 years were not that good and we’re winning teams solely because of Brady’s play.

if you just take the teams between 2009-2014. 3-4 times we don’t make the playoffs if we don’t have Brady.

the idea that Bill has build incredible teams over the past 20 years is crazy too me. He often build average to good team that were carried by Brady.

Your right. Belichick just sucks. He’s just like Andy Reid without Mahomes, Whats a hall of fame coach to do without a hall of fame qb? I mean its not like there are any hall of fame coaches enshrined in Canton that didn’t have one? And if you didn’t you better have an elite defense, running game like Parcells did.

I’ll stand by the argument that neither has 6 rings without the other.

Someone commented the Pats might be in 3rd in their division again next season. Is that really shocking? 20 years of winning and because they have to rebuild without Brady while we take some lumps is a horrible thing? Some of us fans are so spoiled by BB and Brady that they’ve become so out of touch with the way things work.

Why does everything have to be Bill vs Brady? As a Patriots fan you should hope we are not 3rd in the division next year.

It's also okay to watch the Bucs and keep tabs on Brady.

Given the salary cap situation, there is no way the Patriots finish 3rd. This team is about to retool.

No it’s not. Thinking that we will be right back on track next year is as delusional as to think Stidham is the next Tom Brady.

You honestly think Bill is going to do nothing in the off-season with all that salary cap space? that is just as delusional. Now, alot depends on the QB situation. But we will most likely have 7 wins at the end of the season.

but if Patriots get a competent QB like a stafford/Jimmy G etc. you dont think they could at least get to 10 wins next year? thats back on track to me. I dont expect Bill to just sit there and do nothing in the draft/offseason.

I don't understand this hoping the Patriots fail from supposed "patriots fans"

back to Tampa, the NFC has so many good teams its crazy. Green bay, the Rams, Saints, Tampa, Seattle. It honestly could be any of them who make the super bowl.

This will probably be Bradys toughest road yet though. 3 games on the road. Even 2018 which was tough was 2 games, one at home against the chargers and then on the road at KC.

Who's wishing? I am just being realistic.
Do you see us jumping the Bills or Dolphins?
We are in full rebuild with no Qb. We do have a ton of cap but also 22 UFA that we will either have to sign or replace in FA.

I don’t think he will do nothing but it will be a lot harder than what most thinks.

right now we are projected to have around 70M in cap space. You can probably remove 20M for a good veteran QB. We have like 10 of our own free agent. You can count in my mind 10-20M if not more to resign some of them. You can get back some trading Gilmore. You are already around 40-50M left. And you don’t have really improved your team yet.

Rumored was that High was gonna retired. There is a non null probability that the McCourty will retire too.

so you need front 7, LB, WR, TE.

Maybe I’m pessimistic but I don’t see top free agent wanting to come to NE with the team in this state. Even if a guy like Goodwin would want to come here it will cost at least 15M a year. With so many holes I don’t it is necessarily the right move to break the bank this year. I think we are two years away.

If Tampa can secure the 5th seed they will play a NFC east team in the WC if they can’t beat this team, they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

Tampa has seen every playoff team except SEA and I think they could score on them. The only team I am really concerned about is NO.

That's one of the craziest statements ever made on this board. Brady is the GOAT. We're not going to have another like him. So, if your analogy is correct, we'll never finish above 3rd for the next 100 years. That's asinine.

Yes, I do see us beating the Dolphins. The Bills have elevated and it will be harder. BUT--we have a lot of young talent. A lot of salary cap space. But there are opportunities there to grab a good veteran QB--and I'm betting it's Garoppolo.
