Only 1 positive? I heard the entire o-line was sick. So they can get the game in. That's good.

We absolutely should have forced the league's hand. Releasing AB on simply claims by questionable accusers (in terms of motive) the moment he became a Patriot was stupid imo.

I really believe the season would have gone different if we kept AB. We were like 8-0 or 9-0 when AB was released and the entire offense tanked after that.

.

I really believe the season would have gone different if AB didn't rape that woman. We were like 2-0 when AB was released because he tried to intimidate and silence the victim and the entire offense continued to be inconsistent.

.
So many errors in your post, I fixed it for you! You're welcome!

No, the whole o-line was sent home while they looked at the contact tracing data.

Now we see the TB-LV game has been moved:

NFL doing everything they can to play every game...

So the Raiders are in need of 5 OL and we need a WR/TE...

We didn't need to rebuild. The rebuild started when we ditched Brady.

The idea that Belichick EVER rebuilds is nonsense. His ego got in the way (and Krafts pocketbook) and now they have a ton of cap room and are a QB and a WR away from being a threat to win it all again.

The funny thing is, if you go back and read many of the posts in this thread you'll see Pats fans claiming that Cam is a better fit for this team than Tom, but it sure as heck isn't playing out that way.

The interesting twitter chain ends with:

Seems it's really borderline as to whether or not the game stays on Sunday.

Provided that the risk of spreading Covid is gone, I think I'm on board with just having teams play through it with their backups.

I wouldn't want to see an actual safety issue for Derek Carr here though, if that's the concern. I guess with the offensive line, that is a unique issue.

But if it's about a team being able to stay competitive on the field, I'm more inclined to say screw that. Every team has the same risks and protocols. Teams with more depth to withstand injuries/illness will be better off. Teams get ravaged by injuries all the time. If you're looking at it from a competition standpoint, maybe Tampa shouldn't have been forced to play Thursday night against the Bears since they were ravaged at WR. If those guys all had Covid instead of just being unable to perform due to injury, would they have rescheduled the game?

What I don't like is some random, shoot-from-the-hip approach to this, like: "well, the Raiders have a bunch of guys out, so..." or "Patrick Mahomes can't play, so..." Just need to make the call based on the risk of spreading Covid to others and stay consistent about it. Otherwise, you'll have tons of unfair inconsistencies and biases.

Some Pats fans have short memories. The offense sucked when he was here last year. And no doubt about it - it would have still sucked about as much as it does now if he was here this year. Really nothing to debate here.

It's pretty obvious that the stories came out because AB was with the Pats and the team was a serious threat with AB. The stories never got any attention when he was with the Steelers, you know, the team he was with when those things happened.

The originator of the stories probably realized that Kraft would fold under the pressure because he was fighting a lawsuit. Bob likes his players and coaches to take one for the team but he wouldn't. Instead he spent every dollar he could and even took a 9 mil hit on AB.

The whole thing worked out well for Kraft but may have contributed to Brady's decision to leave.

Game got moved to 4. Nfl did not want to be left without a night game if Raiders/Bucs gets delayed.
Sunday night will now be Seattle/Cards.

That should be a great game.

Of course the Steelers have drafted better WR than the Pats over the past 20 years. They have also invested more draft capital and salary cap space on it than the Pats. The real question is why does this particular method of talent acquisition matter so much to certain people? If we were the Jets and have stunk passing the ball in forever then it makes all sorts of sense but when "our team" has been so much more productive passing, scoring and winning than the Steelers during the time frames being talked about it seems like an odd focus area to many of us. We'd all love the Pats to nail every single draft pick but that is just not realistic. I certainly want them to improve the TE and WR play going forward but I do not care if it is through the draft, FA or a trade.

Just went through the draft picks for WR between the Pats and the Stealers since 2000:

According to the Walter draft value chart.

Pats have invested - 2737 of draft value.

Stealers have invested - 5098 of draft value.

So the Bucs and Pats game are on at the same time? Damn.

.

He played 1 game, which was week 2.

Looking at the losses

Ratbirds- I don't think he changes that result. Maybe it's a closer game

Texans- Probably is a win.

Chefs- It was a win without him, f**cking refs. But ya if he played that would have been a definite win.

lolphins- definitely a win

So that's probably 14-2 with him. Which would have been the #2 seed which means

KC plays and beats Tenneesse in the wild card. Goes to Baltimore and beats them. Pats play and beat the Texans

NE/KC AFCC. Pats win.

NE/SF SB. Brady beats the guy that was supposed to be his replacement. Retires with #7

So the Bucs and Pats game are on at the same time? Damn

I say zero percent Bucs/Raiders happens Sunday. Think they'll move it to Monday or Tuesday. Too interesting of a matchup to make a regional market only game, I mean there is a reason it was the Sunday night game
